Did Strachan just say what I think I heard him just say?

Put a Samsonov 15 sweater on Kostitsyn, and I can't tell a single difference between that line and the horror show that played together the first 45 games of 06-07.

I can't beleive this is just normal... Someone happened in the locker room or something I'm sure... A team can't play that bad naturally. Hell... It looks like they mean to play without any passion.

Kovalec did make a few decent plays. Not coughing up the puck too stupidly.
MUST BE THE TRAP
Halak has actually been pretty good
It should be 1 - 1 right now, one bad change ****ed, and tanguay should have scored on the that 5 play pass attack

Is it possible we're losing because the team is taking on the identity of the coach? Stubborn to the point where they don't change things even if they're not working? The coach is not changing any of the lines, continually going with what is clearly not working.. the team continues to do the same plays no matter how many times they haven't worked, and to no avail they don't try to change strategies.

But, switching the goalie did a lot of good. Really helped.
I hope you're saying it's not Halak's fault (Price's) but Carbos.. because Halak hasn't been bad tonight.

Time for Bob to take over the team again.
I agree. Bob Gainey behind the bench. If he wants to look for a new coach or a new GM in the off-season, so be it. But, this year, I'd love to have him wearing both hats.

Every team needs it, but we seem to ignore that. Too many of the same type of players. Believe me, it would be no better with Grabovski who was just about the same type as Sergei Kost or Plekanec. Speedy, skilled, but soft. And we have too much of that.
Latendresse is one of our best fowards tonight..

You obviously are overreacting, but you do have a decent point. At this point, the coach is part of the problem.

And if Gainey doesnt think Brisebois should be waived than Gainey is either blind, inept or doesnt give a damn. This guy gets keyed on by every flyer because he is so weak. Whether he is holding on to the puck too long or making a pass to a well covered player resulting to a turnover he is not NHL calibre anymore. The guy has killed several drives by playing the point like an AHLer.
hard to that for gainey, brisebois is a good friend with carbo, that's the only reason he is still playing
if it wasn't with montreal and carbo, brisebois would have be retired, he has no place in NHL, he is worse than a lot of people think

No, he hasn't been bad tonight. But he could be bad tonight and it wouldn't matter. I just knew that switching the goalie would have zero effect, if not a negative effect and thus far I haven't been proven wrong.

This is just fans ranting when unhappy, I hope you know I still loves ya Timer *hugs*

Anyway, I do have my eyes open. Things are not going well. The team needs a serious wakeup call. We need to get bounces going our way. However, I still see "2009 Stanley Cup Champions" when looking at this team.

Right now, I'm more unhappy of having to listen to Al Strachan. *Drinks more Vodka* Time to go dance.

why havn't they mentioned why Akost left?

and Lang....i'm SOOOOO frustrated with this guy. He has great hands but he cannot...hit...an open net! As for Kovy, while he is being bashed, look at the options he's being given. Nobody is supporting him. Same with pleks (it's reciprocal). This line was great cuz of their chemistry. Now they have none. I say Akost is the weak link. Sadly he's the only one who can do it (the real Akost).

I'm not saying Carbo has been coaching great because he hasn't, but the ENTIRE TEAM, including the coach are to blame for this freakshow.

I like Guy but he his hockey skills are not showing up. Where are they?

Are you serious ?
Lats was actually decent.
He creates play but both Lang and Kost are lost tonight.
For example, Lats made a great body check in the first period that gave the puck to S.Kost....who passed blindly directly to a Flyer. And Sergei had plenty of time.

Lats made a perfect pass to Lang against Boston who missed an empty net.

Kovalev is freaking awful.
Just put 2 players on him and you will stop him. Don't mind the space you create by putting 2 men on him because he won't pass and will lose the puck.

Lats is the scapegoat again here.
What a joke.

Well, to be fair, he's not much of a coach. He's more of a metronome.

Agreed, some might be overreacting (Me included), but at least can we see some adjustments from the coach?? We are losing 2-0 and our first line is not producing at all. Why would we keep things intact?

Not hard to do, but it's not going to make me feel better about him. He hasn't been our worst forward this year whatsoever (that's Dandy) but he has been disappointing. There's still time, but if he doesn't hit 16 this year and no injuries derail him, he hasn't progressed. What does it take to gets Lats going? A trade to the Leafs? Anyway, I'm nitpicking, the team's big problems come from a ****** defense and a coaching staff with no solutions (and it falls on Carbo).
