Good goal. Good call.

I've seen that called back before (Stu Barnes in the playoffs a couple years ago... geez, was it that 5OT game against the Ducks?), but he was pretty clearly stopping.

Oh look, now it's turnover central. Good thing the Coyotes can't aim.

I freaking hate Tippett. Brunnstrom has played just over 4 minutes, and he hasn't don't crap on the ice to justify it.

He can't get any better on the bench. That is BS.

Okay... we have the lead... we desperately need points... I can live with a little downtime for Brunny. He isn't a defensive specialist and we aren't struggling offensively. Why bother?

BigG44 (hah, I spelled it right!) - I'm wondering if Brunnstrom isn't being taught a lesson for something off ice or in practice. Or heck, something he said during the game.

Did anyone notice that Eklund claimed the Stars have interest in John Madden?

I understand you need to make crap up to steal money from people, but shouldn't you put some effort into?

Madden makes just under $3 million and Dallas would have to trade even money just to accommodate the trade. That means one of the forwards with a NTC/NMC or a defenseman (Boucher/Daley) and a forward (Eriksson/Ott). That's just not even borderline realistic.

I don't know. It just seems stupid, but you could be right.

I don't know where to find the stat, but I bet Brunnstrom is producing the most per TOI of any Star.

EDIT: By it being stupid, I mean his ice time and not your point.

It's not just this game, it's every game now. He's played a full game once or twice in the past two or three weeks. Like I said, he seems to be producing offense at a higher rate than any forward.

In regards to defense, he's made nearly as many plays in the defensive zone as he has mistakes. The ability is there, he just needs the time to get better.

My points are often stupid, as we found out earlier tonight.

It's just a thought. It fits with the circumstantial evidence (not getting into the first games, not getting into the high-profile roster spots, some of the statements coming out about "eliminating individuals"), but that's all. No real hard evidence.

Yeah, I've been wondering who that referenced.

The interviews with TSN last year and some of the stuff said early on in the local media with Brunnstrom just makes me think he's not one of those guys.

I bet Ribeiro is one of them though. Why else would he be punished with Barch and Ott as teammates? Plus, Razor or Ralph mentioned that Tippett wanted him to get back to basics and was the reason for his new linemates. Anyway, he has been getting some time with Eriksson as the game went on.

Ribeiro is another thought too. I just think Brunnstrom because of the circumstantial evidence, because other than the defensive brainfarts, he hasn't done much egregiously bad.

Combine that with being a high-profile UFA, a guy who reportedly made his decision on where to play based partially on playing time and no AHL time, and being a young scorer, and it's a thought I just continue to have.

That was quite the cheap hit. Didn't faze Brunnstrom one bit, but cheap hit by Hanzal.

SOB, Petersen took Dallas of the PP. Let Barch or Ott handle the payback d-bag.

Darren Pang noted that Modano doesn't curve his stick. Or at the very least I'm assuming there's a minimal curve there.

Never noticed that.

I am done with Petersen overall, I realized he will never score a goal in the NHL and he really isn't all that good. He has made way to many mistakes for his worth.

James Neal scored another goal tonight.

4 goals and 1 assist in 5 games with the Manitoba Moose.

He's had a very good game again tonight, much like the Anaheim game. He's shooting again, and one of the problems against LA was he just waited and waited until the chances were gone.

Very strong game from Eriksson so far tonight.
