Ya know I have a lot of respect for Carbo....but my opinion is that Carbo has no or at least not enough balls when it comes to pulling the goalie....I dunno if any of you swicthed to the Vancouver : Toronto Game after ours ended.....but Carbo did not pull the goalie at any point during our power play starting at approximately 3 minutes to go ending at 1 min to go....where as Toronto pulled the goalie on a power play with approximately 4:30 mins to go when they were down 4:1....this really pisses me off....if your down by a goal(s) late in the game and you have a power play YOU PULL THE F@KIN GOALIE!!!!!WHY DOES CARBO ONLY WAIT TILL THERE IS NO TIME LEFT?????!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ??!!??!?!!??!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!!?
I'm still horse after yelling into my computer to PULL THE GOALIE!!!!
I'll also point out that while Toronto did not win....they did get a goal on that 6 on 4 with the amount of guys on the ice they had...
Down by 3 and down by 1 are totally diff situations.
Good Notes:
Tanguay gets his 8th!
Leafs Also Lost 4-2! So No Leafs Fan Will Bother Us XD
Bad Note:
We Lost Again..
Predictions:
Beat St.Louis 4-1'ish.
Carolina: Shootout Or OT
Then I Think Its Ottawa where we will lose.
Changes:
-We need Chipchura and NOW!!!
-Price should get second chance...
-Max P. call up along with webber maybe?
What's wrong with Halak ? Nothing. Price will probably play tomorrow anyway. Hopefully, he's gonna grab the opportunity to prove that he belongs in the NHL right now.
No needs to call up guys from Hamilton. Kostopoulos coming back tomorrow.
It's not time to call up youngsters when the team is doing so bad.
We can try Weber for the PP, he can't be worse than Brisebois on D.
Calling up Chipchura and moving Lappy to the wing and getting rid of some deadweight i.e. Begin and Dandenault would be nice.
Maybe bench some of the veteran players (Kovalev? One of the Kostitsyn bros?) and give D'Agostini a shot, he's tearing the AHL apart.
Weber is a good PP option when Komi comes back, but you've got to send O'byrne down, he needs to work on his consistency, it's just awful.

Nah, it would create for **** than anything. Just change the lines, it's not like Kovalev would notice playing with different players anyway.
kovy needs to review tapes like he did last summer of himself and how he was playing LAST YEAR (or photoshop a pitts jersey back on himself last year and watch himself again mebbe that will inspire his ass like it did last year )

WORK is the SOLUTION !
How is it not the time? we need players who will actually do well, or atleast give a chance. I mean especially a test out VS St.Louis, good thing Kosto is coming back : )
But i think Webber & Max.P should get a chance. Work is the solution, but we also need players who actually WORK hard! our players are slacking off, too many turn overs, bad defence, offense.
Ahh c'mon WS, find me a better excuse than Lang missing the nets. Lang playing soft or not coming back to help his d-man ok, but missing the net. At least he was at the right place at the right time, contrarily to most players.
Chomsky,
I'm obviously talking about WAY more than just missing nets even though it's suppose to be his strongest point. I'm talking about bad passes, uninspired play, bad postionment, awful faceoffs (the who's suppose that great faceoff righty specialist) and just another vet who's just waiting for the season to end and maybe be better in the playoffs, like Smolinski was.
Seems to me that we have sooooo many guys who will be muuuuuch better in the playoffs.....maybe we should start thinking that we have to make them before being good in it?
I didn't see anything tonight to suggest the Habs will beat St. Louis tomorrow like many of you are suggesting, they just came off a big OT win over division rival Chicago..
Carbos gonna start feeling the heat from the media after this one...as in maybe replace the coach
That's not going to happen.
The media know full well that Gainey has full confidence in Carbonneau, and besides, the notion of firing the recently-resigned, just-nominated-for-the-Adams coach of a 9-4-2 team just because they are in a 1-3-1 rough patch is ludicrous, especially if you picture Bob Gainey in the role of the trigger-happy GM.
i'm not about to beat a dead horse and say Breezy was awful, he did make a horrid play on Richards, (followed by Cube being useless) which led to the goal, but he can't be blamed or remotely blamed for the loss...blame Carbo for putting him out there vs the Richards line, and then again on that pathetic line change that led to the 2nd goal...

I still believe he is not the problem. But I agree that he's not the solution either. We could use Chipchura on the Fourth line though. It would be great to have a forward make actually good decisions with the puck in his own zone for a change.
