If I can make sense of that post, yes, there is proof that Bruce likes Schultz. On that great interview he did on Toronto radio about this time last year, he talked about how some of the players were "my favorites" since his Calder Cup run with the Bears. He mentioned 3 names, if memory serves: Green, Flash, Schultz. I'm sure there are other references.

I don't think Schultz sucks, personally. I think he's played fine for a bottom pairing guy. As I said before, I just think he and Mo are a bit redundant, and if we could move one for a major upgrade (even a rental), I'm for it. We have plenty of prospects in the pipeline to fill the void next season. Not to mention free agency.

Schultz doesn't suck. Fundamentally he's very solid. He's got two problems...lack of speed and softness. I could live with a giant player who was soft if he wasn't also slow as a turtle.
