NYR/OTT trade proposal

Roszival and Prucha for Phillips

saves us 3.1M in cap space too. not sure how OTTawa's cap situation is and if this would work for them or not financially but they need offense and this might work for them.

i would love phillips to be blocking all those shots as a NYR

Ottawa needs offense, soooo we send them Prucha?

I think Ottawa might be on the down swing but their offense blows the Rangers away talent wise. What that team lacks is

Discipline

A system they buy into whole heartedly

They appear to be a team without direction

Ottawa fans do get down on Alfie at times. Not sure where they stand at the moment...

Ottawa is a fine example of Elite players signing a FAT contract and then ******** the bed

I think if anyone the guy they would part with is Spezza.

Very down on Spezza. He's mailing it in, or so they say.

I'd like Heatley please

Actually, he was invisible last night, what did Hartsburg do to that team? Or is it the overrated Bryan Murray?

You know, in terms of value it's not that bad considering how much younger Gomez is. Neither team will do this because it doesn't make much sense

I could see Spezza being traded for a puck moving offensive defenseman and a top 6 forward though. Obviously not to us though for a million reasons

I'll tell you exactly why this would not happen even if hell froze over.

1) Redden is gone
2) Mezzaros is gone

Thats all you need to know already.

actually the sens need a puck moving dman bad. they cant get out of their own zone at all. rozy would fit that bill for sure. to me he would seem to fit in well on that sens team thats lost mezaros and redden.

i like vermette alot.

anything to get rid of the rozy and pruchas salary. might we be able to afford sundin then? losing a top-4 dman would cause a bit of a problem and might require someone back in return. we could easliy move mara to the top 4 and play kalinin with whomever we bring in? no one from hartford appears ready.

i would love to move rozy and prucha though.

The Sens have nobody on the back end who can make a good first pass out of the zone...

At least we have Girardi, Redden and Rozy who are all good with the first pass. Staal and Kalinin are both occasionally good with it too. Mara is just usually a chuck it up the boards type of guy.

This is the reason the Rangers are good.

Prucha has no value to the Senators whatsoever, and you will have to massively overpay to get any of the big three out of Ottawa.

i like how people say prucha has no value to anyone. if the maple leafs would trade us a 5th rounder for hollweg i think we can get atleast a 4th for prucha, definetly no higher then a 3rd but hes a guy who i think needs a change in scenery to get back to his scoring ways of his first two years.

Prucha is a guy who's making 1.6M and can't sniff the ice. He's a goal scorer who doesn't score goals.

You are what you are, not what you were two or three years ago.

And while you might be able to get a pick (although I'm not sure you could right now), he's hardly a big trading chip — and certainly not one that teams are likely to view as an answer to scoring woes.

Um, he's not really anything. That's the problem.

I don't hear people raving about this checking ability. It's the 30 goals he scored three seasons ago.

All and all sounds like a player that I don't see teams really craving.

Prucha isn't going to be worth much unless a team loses quite a few players to injury, or is sending a useless salary back to us in return. He's a goal scorer who can't even crack the lineup on a team that needs goal scoring. That's not appealing to anyone.

I think Ottawa would rather stink-up the season, take their high draft pick and wait for Brian Lee to develop than take Rozsival and his grossly-inflated salary.
