Fabian Brunnstrom

Let's predict the amount of points Brunnstrom will get this year...
I predict 30 goals and 20 assists..
Thoughts and predictions?

How am I talking smack in your board?
I honestly do not know how many points Brunnstrom will get and I want to ask?
Is that talking smack?

Don't worry, I think you brought up an interesting point.

I think Brunnstrom will eventually cool off. 4 goals in 3 games is exciting, but his play without the puck is what really has excited me. Plus, he is not afraid to initiate or take contact.

Before the season, I would have said probably the 10 to 15 range for goals and probably 10-20 assists. After 3 games, I'll say 15-20 goals with 20 assists. I don't believe he'll break 40 points total. I'd love to be wrong though.

It's early. I think, if his line gets in the groove, he could easily produce 20-25 goals, maybe even 30 if the rest of the team quits acting like a bad beer league team.

He's got the skills, the mindset, but he doesn't perform unless he's getting fed pucks. And right now, his teammates, save Avery, are pretty cold.

He'll fight for the puck, but immediately give it up to someone open, at least that's what I saw when I watched the DAL-COL game on Saturday.

He has looked really good on the ice, really strong on the puck and constantly crashes the net, the reason for his 4 goals is being around the net for passes/rebounds. He has even had some really nice defensive plays, too. He still seems a little shy at times when he gets the chance to skate with the puck, but I think that will change as he gets more NHL games on his resume. I didn't get caught up in the hype-machine for him since I didn't think it was fair to him as a player, but he has done good so far and I am interested in seeing how his season progresses.

If he can just keep finishing the easy chances... I think Richards will set him up for at least 15. I mean with all the great passers we have (Ribs, Richards. Mo and Zubie) we just need more players who wont misfire on empty nets. Now if only we could teach Brunnstrom the Jokinen slant route.........

It'll be very exciting to see him in a few weeks. Like someone said earlier. He's a bit timid when he gets the puck in open ice. That'll fade quickly. As soon as the rest of the roster heats up a bit he might step back a bit. But hopefully he keeps leading the goal scoring.

And we already see what a ridiculous prediction this was by you. Zero assists? He got one tonight, buddy, so alter your prediction to somewhere around 38 goals, 5 assists and you might be right.

Ridiculous prediction yet 38 goals, 5 assists isn't? Now I think he'll finish with 35 Goals and 15 Assists....how about that one?

That all depends. It's better than your original, that's for sure. If he continues to play the remainder of the games, we've underestimated. How about something along the lines of 85 goals, 20 assists? Too low?

I say once he hits 35 goals, he will focus on assists only. In that case, I say 40 goals and 56 assists. He will win the Calder and be heralded as the Swedish Ovechkin, they'll admit that Lidstrom has nothing on him, and Lidstrom will be so distraught he will quit hockey and go on to coach a women's ice skating team.

I doubt he keeps this pace up but if he stays healthy and plays the entire season with Richards, it's very possible.

The one thing to keep in mind though is he's never played an 82 game schedule. He'll probably tire out just like he did last season down the stretch. Whether he wins it or not 40+ points from him is a huge plus for Dallas going forward. Because it appears as though he's just scratching the surface of his ability in this league.
