Why not try it again now?

Maxwell clearly isn't anywhere near ready.

We could call up a winger that way (where we have much more depth). I wouldn't mind calling up Henry and playing him on the wing (he plays both D and W) while Laraque is out.

Begin is an energy player, if he plays center he can't play the same game. Maybe Chipchura is back.

Koivu should be back soon, I think he's just day to day.

The 4th line is working well.

I agree with you that Maxwell isn't ready. I don't understand why Carbo used Maxwell with D'agostini and Andrei. Still, he woke up during the game and put them with Pleky.

To call up a goon is a good idea tho. Henry or Flinn during the time Laraque is out.

There's a reason he's not a center anymore. He's just not really good at it, he's much more suited for the wing.

With around 10 mins of ice time, I think it's hard for Maxwell to get into the flow of the game. I also like the idea that the Canadiens management is giving Maxwell some experience in the NHL. I don't know if you heard of Maxwell's comments following the game against the Caps (http://habsinsideout.com/main/12463). The added experience will only help Maxwell in the long run. He knows that he has a lot of stuff to work on and the added experience will only help him out in the future.

I think Montreal should give more guys from Hamilton a chance to play a game or two in the NHL. It will give the Mtl Canadiens Management a better idea of how far away/close they are to the big club. And with the way things are going these days. What have we to lose. Call up Weber, Pacioretty n' company. Send O'Byrne, Skost to the minors to give them a reality check.
