You don't posess your team, your team posesses you.

People who are calm when their team loses have become accustomed to losing and expect losing.

The rage on here is a sign that people have real hope that the Habs can do something big this season.

This board would have been relatively dead* if it had been around during the worst years.

*of course,no Montreal chatboard would ever be as comatose as some of the other boards on HF.

Our defence has played well in the last 3 games even without Komi.

Our offence is in a bit of a slump but we have good players. They will get in the groove soon. No need to worry.

We will make the playoffs and make a good run at winning the Cup this year.

Bank on it.
Well the biggest problem at the moment is, while the Habs got one of the most talented team in the east, they have not be able yet to show a decent chemistry and work ethic together. Yes they went 8-1-1, but most of those games were against low ranked team, others were SO victory or late come back.

The Habs have the talents to go far in the post-season but the way they are playing right now, they are buying themselves a first class ticket for a quick first round exit.

I never saw so many turnovers, lazy plays, trying to deke 3 players to just to enter inside the offensive zone, no dumping, no forecheck, so MANY 2 or 3 on 1 in their zone, taking 1 minute on the PP just to pass the blue line and set up a play etc...

Obviously something need to change.

We call it "casual-response-from-fans-while-in-a-losing-streak" over here. It's normal and you know it. It seems like it upsets only a minority. Sad.

i totaly agree with you.

i am not one of those ppl. I support the team win or loose. i am a dedicated fan

but this is what it is like on these boards.

what i suggest is that you do not go on the boards right after a game. they get flooded with this BS. i ussually wait till the next day and most of the mess is cleaned up, and only the important stuff sticks around at the top. (thx mods)

Every mannerisim pointed out in the first post of this thread is natural HF behavior.

Seriously, check it out on any teams board. Go there after a loss, go there after a win.

Yet more proof that when you sign up for Hfboards you should be given the choice of taking two pills, a red and blue one.

The Blue one should be prozac, the Red one should be a horse tranquilizer.

Do you *really* think the choice would be the good one? It almost seems like some couldn't be calmed, even with a horse tranquilizer...

It's amazing how many horses seem to suffer from emotional disorders.

I didn't even bother to open the "official" Kovy, Carbo bashing threads. I'll just go see who's the one who created them and then I'll put him on ignore...yes, that's a great idea.

Anyway, blondes aside... this is business as usual for the Habs board.

I don't come often when we lose, because the level of realism of many users at those times is as low as those crazy trades people come up with.

I was pissed they loss. But hey, its 82 games, and I remember being as POed last November when the Habs went through another frustrating sequence. It's not a given to everyone to be patient, level-headed and realistic, the OP should realize that.

LOL... don't let anyone stop you... ahem

As if not going over the top because a team has a losing sequence at the beginning of the season should be considered as "fail".

Talk about sheer stupidity.

As if venting your frustrations and exclaiming your great ideas to change the situation, on this very board, is gonna change anything. That is what's sheer stupidity.

I strongly disagree. This as been going on for a while.

For the second part, I do agree though.

I actually was away for a couple of months because of it. And then came back to see it was even worse.

I stay and read the posters I know and respect and ignore the rest.

Hence my board name . Whenever the Habs are doing poorly, I demand that they be imploded. However, the reverse is true when we are winning. (In this streak of mediocrity, I am seeing some dsiturbing trends; specifically, a lack of competitiveness and desire to win. Moreover, the team looks disjointed and not on the same page on the ice.) Enough with the tangents. You can say that I am obsessed with the Habs and am very emotional during the season when the team is losing and winning. Nevertheless, I have become more level headed over the years, mainly a result of not seeing the team hoist a Cup since 93.

I learned a long time ago not to come to this board after a bad loss. The threads are terrible, and besides, coming here and *****ing just gives fans of other teams something to come here and laugh at. I won't contribute to that.
