So would Craig Ludwig have made your mid 90s team?

I won't include Deader and Allison untill they are declared healthy enough to play the game.

Zigmund Palffy - Mike Modano - Petr Sykora
Marco Sturm - Sergei Fedorov - Jere Lehtinen
Brenden Morrow - Jason Arnott - Bill Guerin
Ladislav Nagy - Patrick Marleau - Shane Doan

Sergei Zubov - Sandis Ozolinsh
Mattias Norstrom - Philippe Boucher
Teppo Numminen - Brad Stuart

Marty Turco
Evgeny Nabokov
JS. Giguere

Line #1: A fast line with each member having an enourmous shot. All are also pretty decent defensively and would be a threat to score a combined 125 goals as well as producing a Selke candidate (Modano) and 2 Hart candidates (Palffy, Modano).

Line #2: A two-way line if there ever was one. All 3 are legit Selke contenders but all 3 also have 30 goal potential. Should be a very fast line that could also be accounted the shut down unit..

Line #3: A bias choice no doubt but this line has been around for about a month now. And in that period, Guerin has 13 points in 9 games, Morrow has 9 goals in 12 while Arnott averaged a ppg during that stretch. A dominant bang and crash line that like the others, is still very solid defensively. Arnott is also the faceoff threat a 3rd line needs..

Line #4: A relatively young and inexperienced line but it has all the ingredients to become a dominant line in the near future, if they aren't one already. You have the speedy sniper on your left, centered by a high flying center with an utterly sick skillset and to complete the recepe, a ppg powerforward on your right flank.

DFP #1: They would just ooze and tease the defenders with their skills. Both underrated defensively.
DFP #2: The two best defensive defenseman in the Pac. Were also a lethal couple in the 01/02 playoffs.
DFP #3: Numminen brings experience and leadership and should be a great tutor for Stuart.

I don't think I need to explain the goalies.

Captain: Mike Modano
Alternate's: Sergei Fedorov, Teppo Numminen and Bill Guerin.

3 of 4 stars taking captain's role eh. Matty Norstrom doesnt deserve an 'A' over Teppo or Guerin?
Heck, he should wear the 'C', we know how well Modano has done with it.

Modano is a fine Captain, the fact that some try to use that as an excuse for his rather inconsistant season is plain ignorant. Guerin is one of the most stand up guys around, and Teppo Captained the Yotes. Captainicy comes with experience and Norstrom would be 4th.

Anyways, my North East division All Stars:

Roberts-Sundin-Mogilny
Bondra-Thornton-Murray
Havlat-Koivu-Hossa
Satan-Briere-Alfredsson

Redden-Chara
Kaberle-McCabe
Boynton-Souray

Belfour
Theodore
Raycroft

Note:
These line combo's were made with chemistry in mind; the first line players aren't necessarily the top three forwards in the division. Moreover most lines are pretty equal and the virtual coach could also easily interchange them

We're not talking about his past. He is past his prime now and isn't worth the $$$ he gets. How's he doing this year, eh??

20th in points for d-men and 52nd in +/-. He's on pace for 39 points which would be his worst year EVER in the NHL.

While he may be one of the best d-men of past years and might deserve the nod for that reason alone, people talking about him for Norris this year is a laugh.

Just wondering if anyone would take Robyn Regehr on their Northwestern team. Or does his offense need to pick up bit before he'd be considered? Personally I think he's one of the best defensive rear guards in the league myself.
