Not yet. We did acquire BJ Crombeen yesterday though and it looks like they decided Koci was the odd man out.

Is there any teams looking for an enforcer? If not, Koci clears.

Nashville is. Tarnasky has been a complete bust in that role.

If no one else, Tampa takes him and puts him in Norfolk.

I'd take him over Boulerice on Edmonton any day, at least until MacIntyre is healthy.

Forgot you guys picked up Crombeen. Guess janssen will take those duties until King gets back, not that he won't at that point, either.

He's not a great fighter and certainly isn't a heavyweight. He shouldn't be depended upon to be an enforcer.

I was disappointed they put him on waivers to begin with, I was hoping for some Belak-Koci battles in their new sweaters.

Listen, I don't know what gave you the impression Tarnasky is an enforcer but...hes not. Hes a tough player, plays with tons of grit and energy and is not a bad fighter, but not once during his days in Tampa did anyone refer to him as an enforcer.

always liked Koci.

id like to see the leafs pick him up and replace one of mayers or hollweg. our team has grit but no enforcer really...it kind of sucks.

Nashville and Toronto are the two teams that need him most,

Toronto because Burke likes those type of players and it's a good enticing material, to try and get him to sign.

and Nashville because i just can't imagine a barry trotz team without a heavyweight,

funny thing is,

imagine if Tampa claims him, wasn't melrose the one who said if koci is waived again we should pick him up, and now they might pick him up after firing melrose!

Canes will take him over Wade Brookbank's 2:22 Average TOI and horrible attempts at fighting. Albeit, Brookbank did get a goal on a nice "spin-o-rama" putting a rebound off a Sutter shot through Smith's 5-hole, but that isn't enough. He has been absolute crap. A waste of space. Doesnt look like Koci is much better though, after looking at his stats. Would actually like our staff to call Patrick Dwyer back up and have him skate in place of Brookbank.

Koci will prob clear. Everyone seems to be, surprisingly.

Ummm...he can barely stand up () ...not that Koci brings that much to even an AHL team...him and Bonvie and Carcillo were a part of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton sideshow a few years ago that must have racked up some impressive PIM/game ratios in their time there...

Was that the year Carcillo had 311 pims in like 50 games or so? LOL...I still wish we had kept Carcillo.

Yes sir...this guy averages roughly a major's worth of penalty minutes per game since turning pro...I mean, 510 PIMs isn't bad for a career...or, in Carcillo's case, ~100 games...

In either case, we gave up Carcillo and a third for Laraque...and my argument was, we don't need a strictly by the book fighter like Laraque...if a Sean Avery or Scott Hartnell cheap shots Sidney or Geno, they aren't gonna fight Laraque, Laraque will end up fighting Colton Orr or Riley Cote or some other waste of time...

With Carcillo, if something goes down, he attacks and asks questions later...as in, after he's been ejected...yeah, he's undisciplined, but if we'd used him properly, that (in my opinion) is more a deterrent from our players getting hurt...it's like from Super Troopers where they're in the Winnebago and that hog is in there..."ah, **** it, you deal with the hog..." that's the kind of attitude team's would have with the Pens if Carcillo fell off the bench for 6 minutes a night...with Laraque, they know they don't have to fight him if they don't want to...with Carcillo, they are likely to be attacked on the ice and in the parking lot afterwards...that's a deterrent!

That's pretty much my feeling on the subject as well.
