I'm excited to see this on the 24th....so if you're there, make sure you give him a standing O...he's one of the best guys you'll meet.

And, talk about a Flyer fan:

Edit: I really don't get why we don't get to click for larger view anymore.... any ideas?
Please tell your friend that I will be giving him a standing O from my living room in northern Jersey. And thank him for me.

Typical, he ran Marty last year (was it?) and no call. But we all know that Marty doesn't "...whine" and he doesn't "...lie." (Jules, that one was for you. I really hate you tube for taking that clip down).

I was just wondering that, they look better than the normal ones.

Did you see Renney's face after that goal? Looked like he wanted to nuke the City of Ottawa or something.

3-1 Nucks over Pens final. Demitra scored twice. I got him in the HF keeper league.

One of the more priceless scenes in movie history. I had forgotten about it until now when I was watching Goldfinger.

my desk chair, which has slowly been falling to pieces, lost the two support pieces right under where you put your ass. i've almost fallen straight through three times already, and this only happened about two hours ago.

Nothing is better than in this video, Pierre going "Crosby alleging that there may have been diving there."

I also posted this in the Phantoms thread, but for those of you who dont read it:

For those of you who want free Phantoms tickets they have a promotion going. Theres a contest to win a suite at a Flyers game, but everyone that signs up gets 2 free Phantoms tickets for 11/28, 12-5 or 12/6.

http://phantomspromos.com/philly/

Once you register you they email you a confirmation and you take it to the Wachovia Center to exchange for tickets. The only thing is it says to take it during regular business hours 9-5. Im hoping they will take it before a Flyers game, otherwise ill never make it up there.

Women screamed, children were pushed over and police rushed to restore civility as players sprawled into Section F, slashing with their sticks at whatever moved.

Before the game, the opposing head coach had told whoever would listen the strategy was to beat the hell out of Vancouver. Oddly enough, everybody thought he meant the players.

If the story sounds vaguely familiar, it should. It was one of the uglier incidents in the city's sports lore.

It's been almost four decades since the Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks met on that infamous night on Dec. 29, 1972. And while the memory may have faded for some, it's a scene that those with a front row seat will never forget.

Dave (Hammer) Schultz stands at the Zamboni entrance prior to the Vancouver Giants 6-4 victory over the Kamloops Blazers at the Pacific Coliseum on Friday. The former Flyers enforcer is signing miniature replicas of the NHL's championship trophy, his name joining the four other Giants' guests -- Gerry Cheevers, Johnny Bower, Steve Shutt and Yvon Cournoyer -- invited to participate in Stanley Cup Legends Night.

"I remember thinking 'what's going on?' as I watched our guys go up into the stands behind our bench," said Schultz, who refused to join the uprising. "I wasn't into that. I've had my fair share of fights and as a team we were involved in a lot of brawls, but that was something else."
