Begin and Dandenault can only be showcased by not playing them.

Good, at least he would speak up and make some players accountable on the team.

He must've been one of the survivors, if Shanny's alive.

I dont see any team wanting either one of these guys for that price tag.

Gainey has 5 million dollars tied up in 4rth liners

No, if a Shanahan was on that boat he would have singlehandedly stopped it from sinking.

They only place they belong is a freak show of washed up NHL hacks.

So the TSN.ca story can say "Shan-a-Hab". It writes itself.

At this point he would be an idiot not be interested, but there is no interest in Begin or Dandy...they will be in Hamilton before a trade ever happens.

Shanahan - Koivu - Tanguay
Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Kostitsyn
Higgins - Lang - Kovalev
Latendresse - Lapierre - Kostopoulos
Laraque - Dandenault/Begin

Not horrible..

I wouldn't mind Shanahan, he plays hard, has insane leadership, can still play and is quite versitile.

I'd trade Kovalev to free agency for him.

Shanny is old, but he'd probably still outperform a few of our forwards. I couldn't care less if he came aboard or not.

Yeah Colorado would really give him up. And I think he's more like Koivu, a quiet, on-ice leader.

Shanny on the other hand will **** your family if you make one bad play. That's true leadership.

Shanahan gives us more of what we don't need, a washed up player.
