1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

This schedule has just been miserable to start the season. Short flurries of games and then weeks of inactivity. I wish the NHL would just compress the time it takes to complete a season and embrace its winter sport identity.

Did anyone else notice this during the pregame show:

While Tippett was being interviewed and talking about how the team doesn't trust each other plus guys are making mistakes, the entire time they were playing clips of Fabian Brunnstrom.

Also, from pregame, Sydor said Niskanen tried multiple times to give Niskanen number 5. You have to love the respect Niskanen has.

No surprise with the scratches: Glass ... err ... Lehtinen and Janik

Richards line will start with Daley and Robidas on defense.

ok this retarded streak of not winning 2 games in a row has went on long enough! big win tonight for Dallas

hopefully they come out firing here, a week off reflecting on their league standing should be all the motivation the Stars need to win tonight

I wasn't a hug fan of picking up Sydor, but I am excited to see him play tonight. I've always liked the guy.

Woah, that was a giant hit by Modano.

Normally he only does that when he's really mad about something.
