West coast trip coming

4 gamer starting in SJ. SJ should be tough but no tougher than ottawa or new jersey. after SJ, its weaker teams though(pho,la,ana). its a good chance to gain on east teams that will be beating up on one another. the good thing about it is that, so far this year, we are stronger against the western conference(7-3-2-1 - .654) than we are against any of the 3 eastern divisions.

The West Coast Swing has been death to MTL in the past, but I see a loss to SJ then 3 straight wins.

Well there's no better way to head into the west coast then with a 5 game winning streak. The way Theo is playing we could win each one but if they came back with a 2-2 record from the trip I would be happy.

Garon could use a couple starts on this road trip to give Theo a break

It's probably a pretty safe bet we'll see Garon in against Phoenix and possibly Anahiem. Can't wait for Wednesday, Habs vs. Sharks, my dream cup final

Confidence is great, but beware Cheechoo, Marleau and the Sharks. I've seen them come into Vancouver and outplay them badly twice in the last 2 months. That said, I'd also be happy with .500 on the trip. Of course, better is always nice!

No! They're going to lose them all 4 - 1 right?

Team GP W L T OTL PTS GF
San Jose 65 32 16 11 6 81 *** Very tough match ***
Phoenix 65 20 26 15 4 59 *** Should be a win ***
Anaheim 66 23 26 9 8 63 *** Should be a win ***
Los Angeles 65 25 18 15 7 72 *** Should be a good game, could go any way ***

So, The habs should be gunning for a 3-1 road trip.

I'll be happy with a split.

I don't see why we can't go 4-0 especially after how we handled ourselves against Ottawa,Boston and New Jersey.

If we can just get some timely goals on the pp we'll be fine.

Whats even more imprisive about are 5 game winning streak is that we are something like 1 for 15 in power plays lately. thats said if we get are power play roling again we should be able to go 3-1 or even 4-0.

Well, this is how I predicted these games on another board, and I guess I stick with those picks:

SJ - L
PHO - W
ANA - W
LA - T

I think the LA game is winnable (Straka is likely to be back for the weekend, but they are really beaten up with injuries) and the SJ game could go either way (I think they have only lost once in regulation in their last 8...they are on the rise). Phoenix and Anaheim have really struggled. The Yotes without Nagy has very little rattle in their snake, and Anaheim are a few quacks short of respectibility this season (those veteran really did make a huge difference? another goalie going in the tank after a big contract signing?).

I would be happy with 5 out of 8 points.
