Wow, our D plays better when we have an empty net. Lets go with no goalie from now on.

Nice play by McCabe. Too bad he can't play defense.

I agree. He looked pretty damned good during that last sequence.

Agreed about Frolik. Will be watching him much more closely. I like what I see. Don't like some of the other forwards much, though.

I loved him crosschecking Bergeron into the crossbar when he tried to go for a rebound on Vokoun. If we're going to suck, I at least want to see us send a physical message.

That's what was good about the 01/02 and 02/03 Panthers. We sucked yes, but at least teams knew they were going to get the **** kicked out of them when they played us!

Are you referring to Lucic? Because Lucic is from Vancouver.

I have to admit, I'm seriously starting to consider selling the tickets I have for the Rangers game next week (on the glass seats since I only go to 1 or 2 games a year since I live 2,500 miles away). I live and die by this team, but I don't think I can stand the pain of another half-assed effort out of these guys. If they don't want to play 110%, I really don't want to watch.

Those were the some of the best losses I've ever seen. Worrell, Ward, Joey T, Laus before his demise, and even Brad Ference.

I thought he was Canadian, too, but his name always gets me confused.

My mistake. Milan Lucic just sounded like a Czech name.

I'm at the point where I say blow it up completely and rebuild (again!). Horton, gone. He's dogging it once again. Actually, the only players I'd keep at this point are Booth, Frolik, and Weiss up front (maybe Soupy as well), Ballard, Boyton, McCabe and Scratch on D, and both Vokoun, Andy in net. Everyone else is expendable and should be since they sure as hell aren't playing like NHLers.
Don't forget Allen for next season. I think we could do a semi-blowup because our prospect cupboard looks as good as it ever will be.

I have a feeling Vokoun or McCabe could be moved within the next year and a half if the team continues to play like they have been.

McCabe has a no-move clause in his contract. But what happens if, come playoff time, someone comes calling, and he finds it interesting?

Isn't the clause voided now that he's waived it? I could be wrong but that's how I understood those things to work.

Anyway, I don't think (I hope) we don't consider moving him, because Bouw ain't re-signing here, and we need to keep Caber in that event.

McCabe isn't going anywhere, neither is Vokoun.. Who need to go are Horton,Bo,Dvo,Zednik,Pelt and Murphy. I don't think I am going to the game against the Rangers because its hard enough sitting through the games, but the way this team is, it's going to be painful after we lose, and we will!

Bouw and Horton, our "franchise cornerstones" back in the day both suck. Olesz......healthy scratch. It's sad because the kid has some talent but really doesn't do all the much with it offensively at all. Looking a little stupid now when you look at his longterm deal. We didn't need to do that. We could have signed him for one year and made sure he could prove himself as a legitimate player worthy of 3 million.....and we can't just say it's a rough patch. Unless he's on those tears he seems to go on here or there, he's relatively useless offensively. It may be just our team though, because it's entirely possible that with his horrible linemates, he's not able to do much.

The no-move clause remains in force. Pantherfan12's right, he's not going anywhere, unless he wants to.
