Of course I want to see him back, he can still be effective and he's dying to return. Don't know someone would want him to fail, he deserves to retire on his own terms.
No, he deserves to retire with some kind of honor and dignity. No one wants to hang around and play 20 games every season and have trouble staying on the ice. The previous two years he threw two different teams through a loopy circus, the Flyers were very lucky to get as much as they did for him in a trade. A lot of people deserve to retire on their own terms, sadly it rarely happens. What the teams don't deserve is for Peter Forsberg to come back like he did the last two seasons and tell everyone he is healthy when that is far from the case. Even though he put up impressive numbers last season, he clearly should not have played. Personally, I think this inner circle of friends he has back in Sweden that make all of his decisions aren't a very smart bunch of people.
Peter, don't come back. I don't feel like hearing about your on-again, off-again soap opera regardless of what team it is.
I'm going with no. I like the guy, he's got heart, unfortunatly he doesn't have ankles. He doesn't seem to be able to accept it is over when it obviously is. I mean, what is this, going on 5 years of injuries severe enough he can only play 1/4 of the games at best? I said it before he needs to take the Jiri Fischer route. Realize his career is over in pro hockey, cry, move on.
I must have missed this part. Did people think he'd play somewhere other than Colorado last year? I know the media probably threw out some BS, but I think most people knew if he played it would be for the Avs.
Well, whether you knew it or not, it didn't stop the continous non stop banter by every sports show or internet site. A lot of talk was around him going back to Philly or Nashville, there was no garantee where he was going. I just want him to play and state right away where he's going.
The French Canadian rule: Read about it, go to bed smarter.
Are there any boxing fans here? Because watching Forsberg come back would be the same as watching another Roy Jones fight. In other words, it's depressing, so no, I don't want to see a shell of a great player hobbling around the ice like a wounded bird.
