Expected to spend the 2009-10 season in junior hockey, the Rangers are hoping that Del Zotto will be ready for the NHL to start the 2010-11 season.
Interesting... So the rangers have high hopes that DZ will crack the line-up right out of juniors a la staal? Is that what you've herad from management leslie?

He did not look out of place in pre-season. That's for sure.

Del Zotto was quite possibly ready for AHL play this Fall. There was no question, however, that he was not NHL-ready. Therefore, going in, the Rangers knew that he would be returned to junior. If he continues to develop as expected, Del Zotto would definitely be AHL-ready this coming Fall, but again, that is not a realistic option. There is the hope that with two more seasons under his belt, that Del Zotto will be ready to compete for a roster spot in the Fall of 2010. We certainly will know more this coming summer/fall at development camp, Traverse City and main training camp.

I'm interested in hearing a little more about Sauer and Potter. I think it's about time we stop carrying 1743829348 forwards and put a little pressure on our 6 unthreatened d-men.

Mitch Gaulton, who was already injured at the time of the draft, was the Blueshirts sixth selection in the entry draft. Further examination of Gaulton’s arm revealed that surgery was necessary, and the young Ontario native, who is a member of the Erie Otters, will miss this season of play rehabbing the arm.

Isn't he back? That was our big suprise...Our "feel good" story

Gaulton has started practicing again, but has yet to play in a game. No idea what the timetable for him playing is.

Nice write up, we really are in the middle of the pact. Hopefully we have one of those come out of no where Wingers or centers that surprise everyone.
