New York Rangers @ Ottawa Senators Nov. 22, 2008

VS

The tale of the tape:

NYR- 14-6-2 1st Atlantic Division

OTT- 6-9-4 5th Northeast Division

CBC Full network 3:00 pm Saturday

Coming off the heels of a six game winless streak is an unwelcome Saturday matinee.
The Rangers, still stinging from the whoopin Vancouver gave them, will be out for redemption.
The Senators will be out for pride. In front of the hometown faithful our Sens will deliver an honest workman-like effort in a thrilling end to end barn-burner.

GO SENS GO!!!!!!

...and ah... we have new jersneys too. Black ones , apparently.

So I assume the gameplan is to blind them with the jerseys, then take advantage of their horror/hysteria to score goals -- maybe as many as three! Dare to dream -- and win? Right? Can't fail.

Haikus are welcome but must contain some reference to the new jerseys.(or New Jersey, who we haven't played in awhile. Are we still rivals even?)
Absolutely no mention of Star Wars characters allowed.

My expectations are so low, there's absolutely no way I can be disappointed by the outcome of this game. Wooo!

Oh, I have a few outcomes that will probably work

But as for the game, I think it will be close since Lundqvist will bounce back with a strong outing after letting in 5 versus the Canucks and the Senators will continue the trend of letting in 2-3 goals a game. I also see the Senators giving up a 3rd period goal to the Rangers. One other tidbit will be Ruutu: I am not sure how the Rangers will respond to his antics in his game in MSG on Tues (hit on Dubinsky/altercation with Varos/second shot in shootout). Will be interesting indeed.

That said, I have a gut feeling (it may be the curry that I had for dinner) that the Senators will pull out either a 2-1 or 3-2 win.

Just hope the team plays like they have in the past 2 games. Wins are bound to come.

We've got new jerseys, we've got the stashes, we've got to have some good karma coming our way after getting jobbed out of that goal in the last game, we've got six games of pent up frustration.

****Knock on wood*****

we are going to win this one.

****throw salt over the shoulder****

Even if it is at the expense of having to wear that godawful jersey for superstitious reasons, I hope this game can be the start of a long winning streak.

Well, it looks way better than I thought. And if you are willing to give it a stretch, the red lines almost forms the so desired O. Well, I must be too drunk to be seeing it anyway.

But I'm def. buying the new SNES jersney! WOOT! GO SNES GO!
