Game 19: vs. Anaheim, 11/22

The Anaheim Ducks lost to the St. Louis Blues tonight 3-2 in OT. You gotta love those loser points.

Anyway, thanks to that win, Dallas is officially, statistically, the worst team in the league. A win tomorrow would make the jump a few teams because fortunately it's crowded at the bottom.

This is Game #1 sans Brenden Morrow, and Dallas is facing a desperate but tired team. Unfortunately for Dallas, Anaheim is playing a pretty shell shocked team without an identity or a leader. I just don't think the Stars pull this one out. I expect to see a good, close game though with both teams earning at least a point. I also imagine we'll see a meeting of the minds between Pronger and Ott.

Can't say I think it really matters anymore, but if you are asking for fantasy reasons I have no idea.

If its for fantasy, it go with benching either one. Huge risk after an emotional loss, both the game and the captain.

We were without Zubov for most of the season last year and the youngsters stepped up...Maybe this is what we needed to get a fire lit under their *****!

I miss you already Brenden..

Even against the team they probably match up the best against... I see no hope.

That loss Thursday... that's not a loss that motivates or lights a fire. That's a loss that takes multiple games to get over and work out of the system.

I just hope no one gets hurt.

Heika said Janik should be in tonight with Niskanen sitting.

Also, Robidas will wear an A. No interim captain will be named.

ok Anaheim played last night so they should be nice and tired let's get that win Stars!

the game will swing on Dallas keeping the ducks top line / Selanne neutralized. The fact is that the Ducks have won pretty much every game they've played where Getzlaf / Perry / Kunitz / Selanne score 2 or more goals and lost nearly every game they've played when that hasn't happened

I love how Tippett throws Sydor and Niskanen together, disaster predictably ensues, then of course Niskanen gets benched and the new acquisition is off and running.

It's like holding your nose and swallowing your own vomit to put that guy in at this point. And sucks even more when he's on your no drop list.

It sucks, but at least Janik is in. He didn't deserve to be on the bench after that Phoenix game. Really, he and Niskanen together looked good.

The Ribeiro line is starting:

Neal-Ribeiro-Avery

and Grossman is still with Zubov.

I assume the rest of the forward stay the same from practice:

Ott-Richards-Eriksson
Brunnstrom-Modano-Parrish
Barch-Petersen-Wilson

I'm not sure about the rest of the defense, but I guess:

Daley-Robidas
Sydor-Janik

alright! big win tonight!

this is like a new season starting tonight - it's a different team without Morrow. I have a feeling that Dallas shows it's true quality tonight and beats the ducks

Avery back to drawing penalties. Let's keep it that way.

huge cheapshot by Getzlaf, he's lucky he didn't get more then just 2 minutes.

too bad the Stars couldn't capitalize here... keep it up and the goals will come Stars

**unsportsmanlike conduct? sounds like the reffs really have it out for Avery this year, they won't take any back talk whereas other more "respected" players can speak their minds all they want.
