Tonight -- I'll take it. There are many ways the Kings could have blown even getting one point in that game. The worst defensive game for the Kings in about a dozen I'd say. The Avs could have gotten 5 or 6 goals easily.
The Brown, Kopitar, O'Sullivan line is awesome. O'Sullivan with a goal assisted by Kopitar, Brown also with a goal.
Doughty had a great game, again. Both defensively and offensive he's great!
Brown has great moves. Simmonds had some nice stick handeling again.

Ersberg with a solid game again. He's a great goalie, and in my opinion a true number one.
Frolov has such great puck control, when he was skating around the net and went back in front of it he "simply" keeps it with him all the time. Great player, great goal.

I like your optimism. I do think that O'Sullivan's presence will help Kopitar.
Frolov's goal was sweet, no doubt. Brownie's goal was excellent too. I am very impressed by how Brown stickhandles nowadays.
I agree with you about Ersberg. I make it a point of focusing on goaltenders, and Ersberg belongs as an NHL #1, without a doubt. I think he's the Kings' best goaltender since Garon had a hot December a few seasons back -- but really he is the best Kings goaltender since Potvin was at his best. I like his lateral movement, I like his quickness, I like his temperament. LaBarbera sits, that's all there is to it.
