Team 1. Too much speed, and outside of the first line and goaltending, and Shanny the team 2 isn't very good

So basically what you're trying to say is that we had no expectations of the team two years ago but we made it to the second round of the playoffs. That was team one. So with team two, which is not much better, if at all, we shouldn't expect too much from this team either.

To tell you the truth, on that second team there would be some line juggling and I believe the defense is better but I'm not sure who would win that series.

I'll let you know after watching team 2 play a whole season. Team two has a long term advantage in that its core players are young.

Are the guys on team 2 the same age in this game as they are in real life? Then certainly team 1.

Henrik Lundqvist versus Henrik Lundqvist?? Hmmm. Come to think about it. You've got a decent point there and I believe it was over looked. I'm gonna go with team 2 as well.

Pretty much, yeah. I'm saying that, for the most part, there's been a lot of lateral movement in that this team is no more likely to go far in the playoffs than it was a couple of seasons ago. What it does have to show for itself, though, is that it has uncovered Dubinsky and Staal as backbones of the team going forward, and Callahan and Girardi as great supporting players.

I guess, in the end, the question is whether the discovery, development, and maturation of these players is worth the potential success of having a mixture of these two teams, with the 4 aforementioned young players in lesser, complimentary roles at this point in time.

It's a fair question, and I can agree with both sides of the argument.

In my opinion, team two is better suited for the PO's. They have a bit mor snarl and the Chemistry between Nylander, Straka and Jagr would dominate team one for shifts at a time. Conversely team one does not have that ability currently. The current team is faster and better on the rush, but Jagr and his line-mates were superb at maintaining possession of the puck.

What he said. Although the goaltending argument is something to consider
