I've just never heard of a guy having a solid season when he was one of the worst defensemen positionally on the team.
Spaling a "third or fourth line prospect?" Hörnqvist a "fringe NHL talent, at best?" And don't even get me started on Smith seeing NHL time. He's lucky he hasn't lost his starting job outright to Matt Hackett yet.
And that's just the stuff that jumped out.
