Fail.....

Pronger has been the ducks best defensemen this year, by far IMO.

Kunitz is a proven 50-60 point jack of all trades player, I love Lucic, but he has fewer career points than what Kunitz had LAST year.

Lucic is as untradeable as one can be. He is a cult hero in Boston
I don't get to see many Boston games but after watching a few and seeing what type of a player Lucic is, I instantly turned into a fan. The guy is beyond awesome.

In other words he had fewer points in his 19 year old rookie season than Kunitz had last year? Wow. I guess you'll be wanting to trade Bobby Ryan for Peter Schaefer, since Ryan has less points in his whole career than Schaefer did LAST season.

Why would Boston want to trade anyone? Why fix what's not broken?

Look at what Pronger did for Edmonton in their playoff run.
He'd push Boston more than over the top.

Except the Bruins aren't trading someone like Wideman or Lucic for a 2 year fix.

No from Boston.

They're playing great with the guys they have now. and really arent in a do or die situation with Chara and Savards contract yet.

Far too much to give up as well. Lucic and Wideman, I don't think. Wet dream for the Ducks though.

Exactly, I'm still trying to figure out if that's what he really meant.

Assuming everyone's roster stays the same between now and then, then this actually works; at the deadline, it would leave the B's with about $218,000 in cap space.

Of course, there's still the question of why either side would do this ... but wrt the cap, it fits just fine for both sides.

Sure, if you consider $218,000 in space just fine.

Most GM's I don't believe would.
