Jiri Hudler- On FIRE!

Thread time. Had one assist in his first 6 games. Since then he has 17 points in 13 games.

Last 3 games: 4 goals, 2 assists, 6 points.

Not bad for a third line player...

Does he get third line minutes though?

Sad part is he's peaking at the wrong time, he will be a free agent this summer (RFA)

Ok stop making these threads. One was made for Franzen and he has stopped scoring.

Stop it. Now.

Yes, he averages about 13 minutes I'd say.

Take tonight for example, G+A in 11:26.

This guy is soooo underrated! He Points/Minute must be one of the higher averages in the league.

That's because Babcock got his head out of his ass and realized that this kid can play and produce.

Hudler is a good one, he'll be a 70-80 point player.

My bad, I put down the wrong TOI for him, I used Filppula instead accidentally.

If he and Franzen keep producing it will be a very nice post season, but a very scary off season. (Bunch of UFAs and RFAs)

So when will the Wings start extending contracts for Zetterberg, Franzen, Hudler etc.?

They are negotiating with Zetterberg right now actually.

He does get third line minutes, but apparently there's a debate over in our Red Wings forum that Hudler only scores a lot because he faces the weaker competition, and when he get's to play in the top lines he stops scoring because he faces the other team's top lines.

I don't buy it, the past two games he has played with Filppula on a second line role and he has produced quite well.

That's karma for allowing Hossa to take less than he's worth.

He's getting paid over 7 million, I don't think he's worth more than Lidstrom.

I don't even want to think about the off-season, it could get depressing.

I'm just thinking about the now, Hudler 18 points in 19 games.

lol, I can't believe Wings fans are worried about the offseason. Ken Holland will continue to play his role as Jesus and amaze us all by getting everyone (but Hossa) locked up for great deals. No Red Wings fan will ever have to worry about the offseason until Yzerman, Nill, Devellano, Holland, and Andersson are all gone.

The few times he's been on the top lines he hasn't produced a whole lot because he never gets the puck. He needs the puck on his stick to make things happen. On the PP with Z and Franzen they give him the puck. ES not so much, they play a more individualistic game of driving to the net rather than passing it off and going to open ice.

Filppula is the 3rd line center.
