Devin Setoguchi

He has been amazing so far this season. 24 points in 21 games. So what kind of potential do you think, is this kid having? And who is a player that reminds most of him. With Thornton, he can be a point-per-game player but what do you think about 90 points in one season? Or even 100?

I think he can achieve 50 goals in the future. I think San Jose has ridiculous depth, and I think this thread is in the wrong location.

I think he will be a 40+ goal scorer. Maybe 50 is achievable. Probably 80-90pt player. He benefits from playing with Marleau and Thornton but he alone is a very good player. He is like a Cheechoo that can skate (and skate extremely well at that)

30-40 goals, 80-90 points, if Thornton turns it on and blesses him with a few passes here and there, he might reach 50G-100P in one of his seasons.

I think most Shark fans would agree with me that Setoguchi has actually been better than Thornton this season.

On paper it's easy to say that. But, if you have been watching the games he's been more impressive than Joe and is right up there with Patty.

I agree 100%. Early in the year it was Marleau > Setoguchi >>> Thornton, now Setoguchi has caught up to Marleau and Thornton is slowly finding his groove. He had the most problems adjusting to TMs playing style, as Joe loves to slow play down which is not compatible with what TM wants the team to do.

As of now its Marleau = Setoguchi > Thornton

If Cheechoo scored 56 goals with JT, I think any 30-goal scorer can hit 50 with him.
