Poulin to be inducted to Flyers Hall of Fame -- Post your memories here

I know that I remember watching Dave play along with Mark Howe, Pelle Eklund, Dave Brown, Tim Kerr, Propp, Murray Craven, Zezel, Brad Marsh, Mellanby, Kjell, Sinisalo, Ron Sutter and others. Poulin and the rest of these guys really got me hooked on Flyers hockey. I was only a baby when the Bullies were around.

Congratulations Dave.

Does that mean Somik can't wear 20 anymore?

My favorite memories of Poulin.

#1. Game 6 Wales Conference Quarterfinals.

I was in the building

...Leading the series 3-2. Flyers leading 2-0, but now 2-men shorthanded against the vaunted Nordiques (Stastny, Stastny, Goulet etc.) ...... Puolin steals the puck ... he's going in alone on Gosselin ... he shoots, SCORE !!!!!!

He ripped one in the top corner over Gosselin's glove hand .. figuring the situation, time and score eprhaps the single most exciting goal in team history

#2 Game 7 Patrick Division Finals.

I was again in the building.

Poulin plays with broken ribs and plays an inspired game. Flyers dominate the Isles and win 5-1 advancing to the conference Finals.

#3. Poulin rallying the team together after Pelle's death.

For those that didn't have the chance to see him play, the player in todays NHL he is most comparable to is Michael Peca.

Not quite that physical, but a great skater, very good defensively, able to contribute offensively.

Without a doubt the Flyers have had the two best sets of forward penalty killer of the last 30 years.

Clarke - Barber
Poulin - Propp

both just devastating.

If you need a BIG penalty kill, Poulin & Propp where the 2 to kill it, and the majority of the time, get a great scoring chance.

Poulin was a heck of a player, and it's great to see, he's finally getting the credit he's due, from the franchise!
