Players around the league you want on the Rangers.

Ovechkin Thornton Crosby Hossa Kovalchuk Phaneuf etcetera all are obvious choices, dig deeper, tell us what little-known players and overlooked gems you'd like to see in blue.

I want Evgeny Artyukhin on this team right ****ing now. He's a giant, and on every shift he skates like his career depends on it, which it kind of does. He's got a good work ethic, won't put up a lot of points, but he plays a smart game wherever he is.

Also from Tampa, I'd love to see the Ranger's get Vladimir Mihalik. He's a defensive prospect, only 21, and he's 6'7", or 6'8" depending on who you ask, but he needs to work on his skating. Still, you can become a skater, but your average defenseman can't become 6'7" after he enters the NHL.

Artyukhin doesn't address any of our needs.

This is nice and all but we could go on forever

what is realistic?

I think they will surprise with a move for a winger and a good one

All obvious choices aside, I really love the play of David Booth, Bryan Little, and Maxim Afinogenov. All of them are really fast and i think would fit well on this team.

I know Afinogenov sucks on defense, but i think renney's system could help him out. He is so incredible on offense that i dont really care about him being a defensive liability anyway.

Bryan Little would be close to impossible to acquire, he's been very underrated in the hockey world imo.

Aside from the obvious..

Kessel, Lucic, Setoguchi or Brown. If we ignored the cap, I'd tack Perry on that list as well.

Sundin, Spezza, Thornton, Horton, Gaborik, Kovalchuk, Vanek, Semin.

U know real top line players. I don't think we can say we have a real top line player on this whole team. Zherdev is borderline.

The first two guys we could have picked up in the draft. We passed up on both.

I would also like to acquire him in a trade as well. We would have two top scoring lines. Naslund Dubinsky Zherdev
Drury Gomez Afiniginov
Fritche Korpokoski Callahan
Sjostrom Betts Orr
