no gaborik
he would be the typical rangers free agent or trade deadline guy
you remember holik and co.
kovy (alchuk) might be the best fit for the rangers team
he is a hungry player that is what we need

IF !!!
a trade could involve rozi and whatev for kovy
.... that would be the **** !

Is there ANY chance at all that Zetterberg DOESNT resign with the Wings?

From what I have heard, the Wings will only be able to re-sign one of Zetterberg or Hossa. Even though I think Hoss is the better player, logic tells me that b/c of the 'seniority' and how long Zetterberg has been in Detroit, he'll be the guy Holland tries to lock up.

After the Wings win the cup this year, Hossa will once again test the free market. If he continues to play like he has been so far this year, he'll probably be offered more than he was last off-season. I'd love to see him here (nothing would make me happier, unless jagr came back) but with what money the team has wasted on Drury and Redden, it wont happen. I expect to see Hossa united with his boy Demitra in Vancouver.

So to answer your question, the only way Zetterberg leaves Detroit is if Hossa stays and I don't think that will happen.

I thought of this exact thing the day that he signed for one year. He'll be on the market again next offseason, and this time he will break the bank.

Problem is, the Rangers' chances of getting him are virtually impossible. I really think Roszival's 5 million dollar hit will be moved just to cover the raises due to Zherdev, Dubinsky, and Staal in the near future. In order to make a run for Hossa, another deal would need to be made to clear a big contract...and I dont think thats happening.

Exactly. And you can bet he would've put Brent Johnson through the back of the net in the caps game after Hank was RUN OVER by Semin and also Nylander. And if not Johnson, he would've taken Semin to task for sure.
