All three, but TSN the most. Sportsnet is a joke with Bill Watters and Kippy

Sportsnet Kypreios has some connections in the Oilers and Rag$ organizations he usually breaks Oiler trades first so I'll go with them. If I wasn't an Oiler fan I'd probably stick with TSN and McKenzie all day long though.

Promo I saw on the NHL network made it look like it'll be Miller, McKenzie and McGuire together, so if you want McKenzie you'll have to put up with McGuire. Just be thankful you're lucky enough to be able to watch it, I'll be checking tsn.ca from work.

Last year, TSN and SportsNet broke about an even number of trades. I can tell you that we counted in the chat room, and I believe it was almost even. TSN lead by maybe 1 or two breaks. The Score had about 4 breaks.

I'm amazed how many people said TSN.

Last year was an absolute slaughter in terms of breaking trades in Sportsnet's favour.

There was a break down, in, I think the Stars "air waves" section. I think Sportsnet had 85 or more percent of the deals first, then TSN had the other 15 percent. The Score didn't break a single trade last season. All of their information was second hand.

Last season I watched both, together. Sportsnet announces a trade, within a minute or two TSN has it as well, as "unofficial" then there is a long delay while they try to confrim it. In reality, they have just heard it on Sportsnet, put it up and are trying to get their own source to confirm it.

Maybe you like the TSN on air personalities better, (i sure don't) but in terms of hearing about the trade first, it's not even close. What you are hearing on TSN is what they heard from Sportsnet, and the delay in getting it to air is they won't air it themselves until they've confirmed it themselves. This can take up to 10 minutes.

Watch both side-by-side if possible. It's no contest.

Sportsnet.

I would watch TSN but I don't want to hear about the move the Leafs should or shouldn't have made. I don't like to watch TSN because their coverage ends at the Ontario/Manitoba border. Plus I HATE Pierre Maguire. Plus I think Sportsnet breaks a lot more trades.

Bill Watters is a clown, but I'll still have it on Sportsnet.

Breaking a trade means nothing. As I've previously stated.
Bill Waters, Garrett and Kyperos have been nothing but annoying all season long.

sportsnet for sure, i cant handle dave hodge's smugness or mcguire's ranting. i just think the set is easier to look at the orangy, red backdrop of tsn or the yelling of kouleas and beyak. i think dreger does a nice job of being enthusiastic but calm. the others are just spazzes

I'll be sleeping. Wake me up when it's all over. Much better that way, then listening to all the speculation. We all know what the rumors are. I just want the facts. So it works out perfectly for me.

TSN all the way....

I like TSN myself, mainly because McKenzie analyzes trades from both sides. When the seller dumps a good/great player for youngsters, Bob will have some insight on the prospects, unlike Sportsnet who give virtually ignore what is going the other way. They just focus on the NHL player they know.

When I heard the Tkachuk deal on Sportsnet, all I could hear was how good Tkachuk was going to make the Blues. Well, what about the future impact of Nagy, Taffe, and Handzus on the Coyotes down the line. Give the fans of the team selling some info. so that they may evaluate the deal from their perspective.

If breaking a trade means nothing then why are you even watching? Just read it in the paper the next day.

The only reason 99.9 percent (i'm excluding you) is cause they want to know who's getting traded to where, and they want to know when it happens.

If you want that watch Sportsnet. As I said, it wasn't even close last year, they slaughtered TSN and the Score was never in the game.

If you think breaking a trade means nothing, all the trades will be in the paper the following morning.

I have a Bell ExpressVu setup at my home in Colorado (its not illegal ) since September so I'm looking forward to Trade Deadline day. I'm glad somebody started this thread because I was curious as to which of the three channels would be best.

Best coverage on deadline day

Sportsnet is going to be the only place to watch.....

You can completely forget TSN because they will only be doing pop up updates into the Briar that day. Yup that's right they have the Canadian Curling championships that day. It runs from 10-7 all day on trade deadline day. Whoops

Sportsnet will be on all day breaking the trades, while TSN will be breaking brooms.

Kypreos and Watters are both pompous *****. I could personally care less if they get their info a minute before TSN; I'd much rather listen to McKenzie.

Of course, I won't have the option this year (at work).

Sweet merciful Christ! Doesn't anyone in Canada go to work/school?

The trade deadline is on a Tuesday this year and ends at 3 pm, right?

I do plan on being a screen-refresh fiend, however! It's as much action as the Caps are likely to give us all year...
