Taking on his salary is impossible right now unless we give them Fernandez... But I'd do Noke for him.

You know, because Eklund said so.
Major fail, Sarich has been worth every dime of his contract and it would now take that boat anchor to be tied to his ankle and thrown over board to get him out of Calgary.

As for the proposal..big no. Sutter doesn't give up 1st round picks..ever!

Counter:
Lombardi, Pardy and Aucoin for Bergeron and Lashoff

That might be even worse than the original proposal in this thread.

If Boston is considering moving Bergeron, I think Chicago could put together a package that might be intriguing.

It could be intriguing if it's centered around Seabrook and not the usual Martin Havlat or Cam Barker garbage.

If Chicago were to offer up one of their highly touted young D-men, I can't see Chiarelli hanging up the phone right away.

So much garbage in this thread.

Sarich is a legit Top-4 defenceman. Tough, hard hitting, responsible, good skating and DURABLE. He would help any team with holes on their backend. He's our 3rd defenceman after Regehr and Phaneuf and plays like it.

The value looks decent considering Bergeron's risk. Boston isn't going to get full-value for Bergeron at this stage of the game.

Sarich may be solid defensively but I think the $3.5m range should buy you a better defender than that (look at Willie Mitchell or Brad Stuart or Chris Phillips or Craig Rivet).
Sarich isn't demonstrably worse than any of these guys except probably Mitchell and he's demonstrably better than Rivet and Stuart. Couple that with the fact that you'd be getting Sarich a 27 year old for another 3 years at a fair contract then I don't see what your point is.

No.
I want Hamill moved ASAP, I am not a fan of his, I was not a fan went he was drafted, and IMO he was only drafted because was the best player on the board and Boston management saw/see him as a trade chip.

If/When Hamill is moved, it will be for:
1.) a young defenseman of similar talent / upside (1-for-1)
2.) part of a package for a #2
3.) a #3/4 with offensive talent (1-for-1)

Sarich doesn't fall into any of those.

Almost a guarentee, when you open a thread for a trade proposal and Boston you see a guy like Lucic, Bergeron, or Kessel offered up for table scraps.

Bourque, Sarich, the first?

Ok, how about this:

Nokeleinen, Ward, and a 1st
for
Hemsky, a top prospect, and a middle tier prospect

I highly doubt they really consider it right now... But if Chicago was winning to got with Seabrook or Keith...I consider it.

Bergeron would only be in a deal if a good young defensman were coming back....

For Sarich, the Bruins would have to swap equal salary, like Sturm or Ryder.

Sarich/Lombardi for Ryder/MStuart ?

Nah, Calgary has no reason to make that trade.

The Bruins could use an upgrade over Hnidy, but once Ference gets back, they would have to put Hunwick (who has played pretty well) on the bench.

Is Sarich an upgrade over the B's #3-6 D-men? Yeah. Is he - or a similar player - ENOUGH of an upgrade to merit giving up an important part of the current roster? Probably not.

Besides, the B's have a lot of decent (not blue-chip) prospects if they want to move some pieces for a veteran D-man (Karsums, Hamill, Suave, Lashoff, etc)

ok but in his words a HUGE blockbuster.. i dont see how a 1st round pick and an average player is a blockbuster. you have no idea what a blockbuster trade is than. Joe Thornton and Chris Pronger were the last blockbuster deals. Not sure if Hossa could be cnosidered since i didnt think it was much to get him.

A top prospect

Those 2 included in a deal would make it a blockbuster.

Boston management answers the phone, listens, laughs, and blocks the number...

Bergeron (currently) > whats being given by CAL..

you pretty much summed it up right there. Its not a HUGE blockbuster, the Thornton trade was a HUGE blockbuster.
