Not moving a 3rd round in a supposedly deep draft for a 36 yr old Kozlov.

Though I don't know much about Atlanta but I would think they would be more interested in a young defenseman to go with Enstrom and Bogosian

Prucha will benefit from a change of scenery and get a huge lift out of it. It's also a small market team - they both would thrive without the pressure I believe. 3rd round pick doesn't hurt either.
I think Kozlov makes alot of sense for the Rangers BUT they would have to clear space........

I still think Rozi is the Centre of a deal...........I also would not deald Dawes for Kozlov because of the age difference

I would do something like this instead if possible:

Kozlov LW-3.7
Exelby D- 1.4

for

Rozsival-5
Prucha 1.6
Fritsche-0.8

Makes more sense to me anyways since Atlanta can take back some cash and Rozi would do well with their 1st round Dman

Ha, you signed Rozi to that deal....you keep him.

If the Thrashers are going to trade Kozlov it is to improve their team, not foul it up even worse.

Man Rozi gets a bad wrap...............he has blown a bit this yr but come on people the guy has been a solid offensive D man for the past 2 seasons................he will bounce back eventually

bottom line though is Sather should of not signed him and got one more scoring forward with some of that money and then brought in a descent back end Dman...............on the other hand who knew Mara and Girardi would be this good

I am originally from the NYC area, and being on the wrong side of the crowd at MSG is a bad place to be.

The Thrashers are pretty set as far as offensive defensemen right now with Hainsey, Enstrom, Havelid, and Schneider(who has been awful). Along with Bogosian who is on the IR right now.

I don't think the Thrashers would be looking to add a defenseman right now anyway, but if they were looking they would want one younger and cheaper than Rozi.

I'm with you mean, don't worry.

I understand that perhaps Kozlov wouldn't waive it.

What doesn't make sense to me is the idea that Atlanta wouldn't want 2 potential goal scorers along with a mid round pick who is at the end of his career. I understand he's having a successful season, but I think it's fair to say that Atlanta is not going anywhere this year and it's not like Kozlov is the type of player you market around. I completely understand that Atlanta wont' just give him away, but I don't get why Atlanta would not move him in a reasonable deal that gets them younger and dumps salary.

Are you really trying to say that the Thrashers don't need a defender?
