OT : Old Habs games in L'Assomption

Got lucky tonight and went to see this game at the brand new Arena.

Old Habs played a game against a team made of sponsors for the new College L'Assomption sports complex. THis was a pretty unfair roster distribution but still was lots of fun to watch.

Final score was 15-2 for the Habs... Audette with a hat trick! Maybe he's the missing piece for our offence

Was fun too to see Dykhuis play! And Gaston Gingras was impressive, his skating and defensive awareness are still there, you can see it's natural for him.

Lafleur didn't score but got robbed on a breakaway, and he got two assists.

Here are some pictures

Richer Handling a loose puck in the corner.

Audette completely schooled the goaltender right there.

Lafleur just before getting robbed
I'll post some more later.

cant be any worst than the old one in L'assomption and for the love of god I hope they made the rooms bigger than my closet.

Yes the new rink is really something to see. The whole sport complex is really really nice, for something built in L'Assomption anyway.

But definitely a MAJOR improvement.

When you're talking to me about the arena in L'Assomption, you're bringing up great memories. I remember seeing Yannick Lehoux and Jason Pominville play for the Repentigny atom team, seeing Lehoux DOMINATING the tourney, when I used to work for the local newspaper...Man, I'm old.
