Problems we need to take care of before the playoffs

First of all, Perrault on the first line is just horrible. At worst, I would be OK with Bulis ( Although he would be better on the third line), Hossa who played great with Saku and Zednik last year or a trade.

Second, Dagenais-Ribs-Ryder. Three players on their first complete season in th league with no playoffs experience. Eventually, Dagenais should be the one to go but the coach seem to like him.

For the third and Fourth line, i think that we are OK even more if Bulis plays on the third line.

Finally, we need another left defenceman big and physical. It' not a Must but could help a lot.

If you guys have other suggestions or disagreements with this feel free to post!

Pretty much agree with the whole thing...

Doubt we'll get reinforcements everywhere we need them but one of the following would be good:

Zednik-Koivu-Lindros

Simon-Ribeiro-Ryder

Witt-Brisebois
Richardson-Brisebois

Agree with everything there, except for Richardson. The only way I would want this guy on the habs is if he promised to retire after the playoffs. Luke could help us during the playoffs, but he would be taking up a roster spot for next year if he stays. I would love to see Simon in MTL. He's hit 29 goals before, playing with such a good playmaking center as Ribeiro he could possibly hit 20 goals again. Plus, anyone who would try to mess with Ribeiro or Ryder would get destroyed.

If i had to choose, lindros

Markov is regaining form, Rivet is playing well, and souray will be back, im confident with our D.

Not so confident with offence however, thats why lindros i feel would be good.

Simon-Ribeiro-Ryder would be a sweet line.

at least 1 top 6 forward and if a good deal comes along a veteran defencemen.
that would make a great diference.

My opinion is that it would be fun to have those guys and watch them play for five games.

No Lindros , No Simon , No Ridchardson ... maybe Witt but he'll takes a spot for Hainsey or Komi and he'll still be around next year and the year after ...

Let's get O'Neill for cheap , a Hossa and a pick should be fine .

All we need is, O`Neil, Smyth and a veteran defenceman and they might aswell just give us the cup

It would be great to get all this because we`d finally have a legitimate top 6. And our top 2 defensive pairings would also be very solid. Sadly this will never happen. Since we don`t have enough Hainseys and Hossas to go around. I can`t see Gainey doing anything to drastic for a playoff run. Hopefully just a few minor moves to get rid of the dead weight.

I agree. O'Neill is a playoff performer. As long as he stays in the East and away from the long plane trips (which he is afraid of), he should be happy... even if he is from Toronto.

Who doesn't want to play with our centers???

We have two openings up front if you dump Dagenais and put Bulis on the checking line and we could use a RIGHT DEFENSEMAN... not a Left Defenseman. When Souray comes back, we'll have Souray-Markov-Bouillon on the left side and that's pretty good. Bouillon has really elevated his game.

On the right side we have Rivet who is playing great, Brisebois who needs to tone it down a bit and .... Komisarek (not ready yet).

Dykhuis played well last night... I don't trust him tho.
