As the board's resident 10 year old, I'm a full time student, learning my long division.

Excavating Project Manager/ Cost Estimator

Opps also teach inline hockey to youth for the YMCA. 3-6 year olds are a blast. Never takes the parent too long to realize that when I tell them to put the kids helmets on before they do anything else it is because they are handing 3 year olds "swords"....many of the parent have also reported the need for wearing protection even though they are not on the rink LOL

I work for my synagogue as the "I.T. & Data Specialist" - that's basically what we came up with as a formal way to say "staff geek". I handle pretty much all of the computing and a healthy chunk of the finance stuff (or as I sometimes put it, "A/R, A/P, HR, and IT"), so I end up taking after both of my parents simultaneously. Woohoo!

Why am I not working elsewhere, considering that my pay at Temple is competitive with that of, say, a full-time fast food manager? Three reasons: 1) I have a degree of autonomy here I doubt I could ever get anywhere else, 2) I love feeling like I'm helping make the world a better place with my day job, and 3) I don't have a degree yet - I've taken classes at BGSU and Columbus State, but have yet to finish.

I feel compelled also to note for the benefit of those of you considering stalking me - insofar as I can tell nobody there has any clue that in my spare time I'm a horrible trannie freak. Someday I'm probably going to have to explain that one, and I have absolutely no clue how I'm going to manage.

Eternal student finally on the verge of getting my degree (Computer Systems) after having gone through various major changes (English, Philosophy, Criminal Justice) over the years....

Probably end up doing technical writing, as that's just about the only way I've made money in life, thus far.

Yes! We need more Jews on this board! Good to see I'm not the only one who loves hockey.

I'm currently a Junior in high school in Cincinnati. Hopefully I'll be attending either Illinois or Denver come fall 2010.

BG's still cold and windy. Seems like the start of a long winter. I'm sure I'll miss it when I'm gone too though.

student... OSU... senior... dying... econ paper... morning... lame...

incidentally, hockey ruins my life

Im a linguistics major, yet i frequently misspell it "linqvistics " oh damn its not lundqvist.

Also majoring in Russian, which ruins me too. But I love it so it's just language pains.

Yeah, Sterling's one of the rare places in town where I can actually count more CBJ stuff on the cars in the parking lot than OSU stuff...

I design Kitchens. Sort of. My background is kitchen design. But the company I work for already had their design positions filled when I got here. So I enter other people's designs into the computer for them. I still do some light design work, but most of my day is spent making pretty pictures. Honestly, I like it better and it isn't as much work. Plus, being stuck at a desk all day allows me to play on the boards whenever I want

If I had it all to do over, I'd skip college and would have just taken the Cisco Certifications all the way up to CCIE. I would have probably saved about 50K on my education and I'd probably be making about 50K more in salary per year. The rub is, I'm not sure Cisco was even a company when I finished H.S. in 1987.
