Not entirely unhappy that we lost; it gets THAT monkey off our back and think of the pressure that winning that many games in a row produces. They played stiff and uninspired. Now, they can open it back up again. It sucks that it was against Buffalo, but better than it being against Montreal during this stretch.
To all the American cousins, have a great Thanksgiving; probably the BEST holiday of the year.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It will be difficult this year because of the loss of my Mom but I still love it.
why do people keep saying this over and over again? i swear each next game is a "this is the game" moment...
we've already seen what this team is made of.
losing next game won't change that... this team hasn't lost a game all year by more than 1 goal... (minus 1 empty netter)
that is 22 ****ing games!!!
Wow, I have to agree with you, these guys have not lost a regulation game in almost a month, play a poor 1st against the Sabres, get burned for their play, then attempt to play comeback against a solid but struggling team. This team has showed everyone who has eyes what they are made of. Sturmy and Ference are out right now, and doesn`t look like this team has missed a beat. You can`t expect our boys to win every night, they have played a ton of hockey in the first month and a bit. It`s not like they have gotten their arses kicked in any of their losses.
Memory seems to be an issue for some of the fans of this team, before last year, we had NOTHING to like about this franchise, from top to bottom. I love the enthusiasm and expectations some are putting on this team but........... let`s enjoy the early ride they have taken us on, let`s hope they can continue consistent play that results in wins more often than losses, let`s hope the kids continue their quick development. let`s hope we keep beating the filthy Habs.
Most importantly, let`s remember just how insignificant this franchise was merely less than 2 years ago, and how far they have come in a very short time.
Disappointing result last night to be sure. Its funny but I've gotten so used to this team at least taking a point, and most of the time winning that I almost forgot what to do when we lost.
Bad first period, got completely outplayed and when we were getting back into it, Timmy gave up his first soft goal in a long long time and that killed our momentum. These things happen, you can't win every game. With that being said, Friday is when the boys gotta get back on the winning track and demolish the Isles or we could be looking at a 3 game slide to end our November, which would leave a bad taste in my mouth to be sure.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Hopefully the boys eat up good... take some good turkey induced naps and come out flying tomorrow. I'll be there, helping to black out the TD.
That was me. I agree, I'd put Sturm back beside Bergeron. Although the Krejci line has been playing well, I'd swap Kobasew and Ryder as you mentioned. I'd also place Axelsson on the 4th line, but he'd still be getting 1st PK time, and probably 4-on-4 minutes as well. Axelsson would cash in 10-12 minutes a game, and that would be perfect. We'd be looking at;
