Why didn't Brown shoot at the empty net? Did he known he didn't have enough time or was he just being nice knowing the game was already over?

Oh yeah. I concur with that. He didn't know where the puck was and it was 2 inches from going in the net with 15 seconds left.

I am betting he did not want to show up the Oilers......scoring an empty net goal with 1 or 2 seconds remaining is like taunting your opponent....in my opinion.

Guess he wasn't interested in padding his stats. It's not like this is a contract year for him.

Makes sense, I have just never seen an NHL player not shoot at an empty net before.

+1

I appreciate Brownie's businesslike attitude a lot.

Pretty much. That is what I was laughing at, he was just sprawling around and someone was able to push the puck into his leg pads. I really hope Ersberg is back in but I think we are going to go on a Labs streak and then when we dip down below .500 again Murray will bring in Ersberg to bring us back up.

That game was exactly the way a team needs to respond after being handled like they were against Calgary. Solid team defense, Kopitar scored, and hell, they even made LaBarbera look decent.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, there is nothing funnier than reading through a GDT after a close game win.
