All Cylinders Firing - Montreal Goal Scoring

I think it merits pointing out that although we don't have any over 10 goal scorers we once again have a team where almost everyone has scored a goal and we are only 21 games into the year.

http://canadiens.nhl.com/team/app?se...age&page=Stats

The only players (that have played more than 1 game) who haven't scored yet, are Dandy(who has 2 assists), O'byrne (who has 3 assists), and Laraque (still pointless).
If you guys recall last year we didn't have any players who scored more than 35 goals (Kovalev) and we probably won't again this year. What we will likely have is close to ten players who score 20 or more goals. This is a very good recipe for success because it means there isn't a particular person or line that can be shut down and totally stop our progress. I think we are in for another great season of team play and we will be at the top (maybe not 1st again but close) of NHL in team scoring.

Just finished a rather long streak of terrible play but we are "firing on all cylinders".

Just goes to show you how bipolar most fans truly are.

Dont say most please. There are lots of people reading this board every day and if one or 2 make threads like this it doesnt mean the whole fan base think so.

That sais yes we've got lots of guys that can score despite not showing it in the past 2 weeks.

We will not have anywhere near 10 different 20 goal scorers this year.

I wouldn't say "not anywhere near". That's somewhat of an exageration. We are gonna be "near", or are you basing yourself on only the last month of play???

Kovalev will probably be over 20
Higgins will probably be over 20
Plekanec will probably be over 20
Akostitsyn will probably be over 20
Tanguay will probably be over 20
Koivu might be over 20
Lang might be over 20

That's already 7 of them who will quite probably reach the mark. That's "near" 10.

Now we've got SKostitsyn and Latendresse, who could pick up the pace. They've still got 61 games of play y'know. If Markov gets on a roll, he might get there. And you never know, a guy like Daggs coulb be called up pretty soon and impress.

I wouldn't say 10, but we will be near.

Nor did we last year. We had 4 (5 if you include Lang who did it in Chicago and 6 if you include Tanguay who had 18, but was the first year in a while where he did not net 20 and is clearly on pace).

Players with that potential:

1. Alexei Kovalev
2. Alex Tanguay
3. Thomas Plekanec
4. Andrei Kostitsyn
5. Chris Higgins
6. Saku Koivu
7. Robert Lang
8. Guillaume Latendresse
9. Andrei Markov
10. Sergei Kostitsyn

I doubt they all do it, but still, it is possible.
