Hornqvist & Jones To Stay With Milwaukee For At Least The Weekend

The quote from David Poile: "We'll re-evaluate things after that. (Director of hockey operations) Mike Santos was up there and said they've played fine. But our coaches are happy right now with this team, so we'll just go on a game-by-game basis.''

That can't be what H & J wanted to hear.

That's why you just traded for Wade Belak, right?

I would not be the least bit surprised to see Peverley on waivers bright and early on Monday.

Keeping Jones around for the weekend is already helping Milwaukee... netted the OT winner last night.

I think they do need some developmental time in Milwuakee, but I also think it is obvious they could both be on our top two lines right now.

I was not in favor of keeping Jones up at the start of the season. I don't think he was ready. Having said that, I've come around to the view that Hornqvist could benefit more than Jones from staying down. I think the game Jones plays is simpler and doesn't depend on the speed of the game or the size of the rink. I would like to see Hornqvist look as prepared and confident as Pihlstrom when he returns. Of course, I'd also like to see Pihlstrom score a few goals here.
