If getting incorrect, half-assed information is good enough for you, fine - keep on using it. However, if you really think it's more accurate than anything I have, .
funny they get there numbers from nhlpa so care to show us an example where its hugely wrong?

its a fair deal

antropov would net Toronto a first round pick come trade deadline
and the caps could use some size along with the skill they have

The Caps are the league's largest team, they really don't need more size up front (or more of anything up there, really). The Caps question marks on on the blueline and in net, not up front.

The value may be there in theory (Antropov for a late first), but not with the Caps as the team involved.

As a rule, McPhee does not trade 1st rounders unless it is to acquire more picks or better picks. The Caps are not one of those teams that will trade a 1st rounder just to improve their playoff chances in one particular year.

Among the errors:
-- Ilya Kovalchuk, ATL
-- Zach Bogosian, ATL
-- Dennis Wideman, BOS
-- Zach Boychuk, CAR
-- David Tanabe, CAR
-- Kevin Lalande, CGY
-- Brian Campbell, CHI

The list goes on and on. It had Craig Conroy and Robyn Regehr incorrect for Calgary last season, among multiple other errors.

Gets its information from the NHLPA ... I can guarantee that
A. It doesn't get all of its information from the NHLPA, and
B. It's not more accurate, because
C. I get my information directly from the NHL, and the contract information I have ties almost exactly to the NHL's data.

How about this:

Antropov

for

1st
Donny Brashear

We get a fighter and tough guy back in Brashear (which Burke will get), Brashear also gives us a big body that we are losing in Antropov.

We also get another 1st, which we will be looking for in all of our trades.

that deal works! and opens enough CAP space for the trade to work.

Except the Caps get worse value for a player they don't even need. If Antropov is worth a late 1st (which I guess is fair) then throwing in an enforcer doesn't help the value. The only guy on the Caps right now that probably has negative value is Chris Clark, and they're not going to give up a 1st to get rid of him.

No to Brashear. If the Leafs wanted an Enforcer they should have gotten Belak again.
Teh Caps wouldn't trade IMO the best enforcer in the League. ( he can actually play a regular shift)

For a team like Washington that is pressed so tight against the cap and already loaded with offensive firepower, I dont think they would do this. Also, Washington will be near the top of the league this year...I think Toronto can squeeze more out of a mid-range team trying to improve their position or make a real push in the post season. A 30-30-60 making 2 million would be a great compliment to the Nashville's or Buffalo's of the league.

Just a friendly little reminder. On the site where you have AHL guys, prospects, and such. you have LITR, when i think it should be LTIR.
