Christopher Higgins

Good two way forward, captain material, 25 goals scorer.

I'm sorry but there's nothing proving Higgins is captain worthy at this point or in the close future. When he was drafted he was touted as a possible future captain, but he certainly didn't develop into that. He's a great two-way player that can score 20-25 goals and gives you 40-50 points. Ideally, he's worth a very strong third line player.

Name me three things that makes him captain worthy.

1) He's North-American
2) He's a Canadien
3) He isn't very talented

Yep, surefire Captain

Will you stop that please mariolemieux66 ??? Habs fan are not the most liked around here and you don't help... I am begging you...please stop.

We have a soft team. Our players suck. We dive... we got it a long time ago. The only thing you'll acheive is getting our players ridiculed (is that the proper word??? lol).

What about Higgins to the Rangers?

Cally and a 3rd?
or the other Prucha, Dawes, and a 3rd?

BIG NO to both deals. Don't need draft picks at all and for some reason Dawes is useless now just like Prucha.

I wonder why the club gave a 25 year old an A on his jersey. So what's it like in the Habs locker room?

That's what I was thinking. I guess A is for American, not assistant captain.

He's a guy I've always wanted to see on the Oilers. Not sure if they'd have anything that interests Montreal though.

Pass on both. Neither proposal addresses Montreal's need for a top 4 quality NHL defenceman.

Actually i think the Oilers could potentially be a good fit if they were willing to move a defenceman. I would think the Habs would have interest in Gilbert, Grebeshkov and Smid.

Dutsin Pennner

The Habs could use his big body and he could protect guys like Komisarek when Lucic picks on them.

Higgins & O'Byrne

for

Jared Boll, Raffe Torres

Gives Columbus a proven scorer on the upswing in his career & a Dman project.

Gives MTL some jam they need to compete with the Bruins

Maybe but it isn't a bad deal. Maybe a pick here or there to even it out but value wise it is has the foundation of something that just could work.

Why do you even post? We all know you're not a real Habs fan.
