25 to 11 faceoffs won for the Kings?? The Kings went from one of the worst face-off teams to one of the best in a year? Thank you Stoll.

And not much happened when O'Sullivan was up there. What's your point?

Sully was able to be offensive on other lines as well. Why not have multiple threats? It hasn't worked a whole lot the times we've tried it. Worked once in Edmonton, but that's about all. The Kings have had the most success this season with multiple scoring threats.

And you can't just have Calder on the bench. The Kings are stuck with a lot of these players for the duration of this season.

With that, Armstrong with the goal. 3-2.

Or because we don't have any legitimate options. You think Stoll or Handzus can carry the weight of being number one center?

THIS is why we need Tavares or another legit number one. Strength down the middle.

Someone needs to remind Gauthier not to pass the puck up the middle now.

And I don't think Murray has many options in regards to his lines. He's sticking with creating multiple threats.

Or we could go back to last season where we had one threat and one threat only and all opponents had to do was run their best against ours.

Kopitar's improvement has been a big reason for the turnaround as well.

What is so hard about having 2 offensive lines and 2 defensive lines?

O'Sullivan-Kopitar-Brown
Frolov-Stoll-Moller
Calder-Handzus-Simmonds
Ivanans-Armstrong-Richardson

Doesn't look too bad to me. If Calder is good enough for the 1st line, why not put him with Handzus?

you mean when he went 11 games without a goal when he was on the 4th line?

If Calder isn't good enough to even be on the ice, why weaken another line even further?

I'm simply tired of Calder being made out to be everything wrong with this team when there are better higher paid players not having spectacular seasons either.

Then why does Sullivan belong on the first if he can't score anyway?

That works nicely against equal calibre teams, but if you are competing against a superior team like Chicago or Detroit or San Jose, their first line will shred our first line or fourth line, hence the need for balance. Than you have a shot

You do NOT want Zetterberg and Franzen going against Ivanans and Armstrong alone, in the same vein, you dont want Kopitar and Brown and O'Sullivan being shut down by Lidstrom and Datsyuk at the same time.

This isn't last season. It's a new system. New coaching staff. New contracts. New expectations. New teammates.

You understand that you don't have to play your 4th line against the best line, right? You could play Handzus' or Stoll's line against the top line. If Kopitar's line goes against the best defensive pairing, then your 2nd scoring line should get better chances to score.

I'll settle on the fact that the Kings are playing better hockey now this season than they were now last season.

PP Kings. Too many men on the ice.

That is true, but you are comparing this team to a team coached by Crawford.
