I hope someone like Tampa picks him up. I always wanted to see him succeed.

He'll get picked up, maybe by Anaheim.

He was awful. The effort was there, but the defensive play was sorely lacking.

I'm sure he'll "make his mark" on another team.

You thought wrong. Pock is one of many undersized and, frankly, overmatched defensemen on the Islander roster. But he brings even less than the others (with the possible exception of Gervais, but age plays a factor here).

Pock will get claimed and the Islanders will not miss him.

If Pock can't find a spot on an injury plagued defense that sucked to begin with then he simply does not belong in the NHL.

And I still remember the thread on the Islanders board with everyone pumped about him

This is silly post. Yeah, some Isles fans were optimistic about him when he was first brought in (although I was not one of those guys). What do you expect? Its natural for fans to be excited when a new guy comes about.

Anyway, Pock is pretty marginal one way or the other. To some extent, I think bringing him in was a sign of how bad things have become. But, on the other hand, Isles had like 5 or 6 dmen out at one point. And, when injuries hit at that level, brining in a stopgap for a 20 games or so might make sense.

Haha, I thought the same thing when I saw him in a Rangers jersey, but when I saw him in an Islanders jersey, well jesus he is terrible!
