Thank you Terry Murray, this is what happens when you try and win a game 1-0

The Kings once again fail to capitalize coming off a big win, a nasty theme with this team so far this season, this is just like both Nashville games.

Terry Murray's use of the forwards is the worst I have ever seen from a Kings coach, and thats saying something going up against Melrose and Andy Murray. Calder on the ice down a goal in the final minute, its just ridiculous.

I can't believe there is so much comments on the goaltending, really this season, with Ersberg's play, I'd rank goaltending well behind scoring and coaching on this teams problem list.

I wish we had someone in the media who would just flat ask him in his post game interview

"What the **** are you doing with the lines"

Meh. Ersberg will be in net tomorrow, should be a good game. Kings should be well rested. Delete this one off the DVR and set to record the Yotes game tomorrow. GO KINGS!

Calder is brutal as always. Kopitar has no drive. Greene playing in the last minute was laughable. What a sloppy game from start to finish

I think that all of our players lost the capability of one-timing shots

Doughty is the major shooter on our power play. Not Stoll, not a forward an 18 year old rookie defenseman.

How many points did Kopitar take away from Doughty tonight?

so if he is playing like crap this year and still leading the team in points then what does that say for the rest of the team

That tells me that our offense sucks and it starts with the PP. I don't have a problem with a defense first mentality 5-on-5, but on the PP the Kings need to show more passion for the puck and way more movement to open up space for one-timers.

We lost the game due to some individual misstakes apart of that it was not that cathastrophic.. don't spellcheck.

And Labs was doing a lot better then expected.

Of to work .. you guys have a nice day or nightsleep or whatever suites you best.

Kopitar just needs to take more shots. He has a good shot, his accuracy was brilliant last season... He just needs to shoot more and to stop trying to look like the second coming of Gomez or Spezza... He needs to start scoring instead of looking to have defenseman numbers by the end of the season. By this rate he is going to have like 15 goals and 60 assists.

The big question will be if Kopitar is going to be worth $7 million per season...[/QUOTE]

To the poster formerly known as squidward:
You were right last summer during one of the threads about trading Cammy we were talking about Kopi getting a big contract and then having a rough year and the people turning on him, ala Vis or even wanting a big contract like cammy, I didn't agree then but we are all of 20+ games in and Kopi has struggled some and they are starting to question the guy's ability......freaking amazing

PS......maybe we can trade him for a number 1 pick so we can continue the rebuild ..........

Im throwin in the towel for Kopitar this year. He cant finish worth crap(Minus the awesome goal he scored in edmonton, that was Kopitar of old). But i think(hope) that he can have a bounce back season next year.

It's definitely true that some players thrive on the pressure of being the man and some players don't. Giving Kopitar the huge extension and the "A" may have been too much for him to handle. He is definitely gripping the stick too tightly and is not showing any of the poise that he showed in his first 2 seasons. He doesn't look relaxed out there at all. I don't think anyone is saying that he should be traded, but there is definitely cause for concern.

One way to fix the problem may be to get freaken Kyle Calder off the top line. Give him another guy on his line who is a threat to score goals.

Vesa Toskala had a great 3rd, also a big difference in the game.

Can't fault him at all for the Grabovski goal but that first goal was the norm for Pillows.
