their business relationship probably is. i dont understand why jagr would accept less money for the rangers now than before the season started, and a considerable amount less. plus from what i read, the majority of ranger fans dont want him back anyway

If he wouldn't accept less money from the Rangers, why are we even mentioning the Devils, then? Lord knows he'd sign for the Rangers well before the Devils.

Jagr will never. Ever. Be a Devil.

im not saying it will happen, because trust me i dont, but maybe he wants to piss off sather, maybe he doesnt want to go back to the rangers because he didnt really gel with anyone last year, who knows. either way it doesnt really matter becuase he probably isnt going to eitehr team

Why would he accept a $2 million deal from the Devils rather than the Rangers, who he still keeps in contact with?

He gelled well with Brandon Dubinsky. Jagr was on pace for record breaking numbers with Dubinsky as his center.

not really a deciding factor.

Jagr wanted to be a Ranger in July, I don't see why that would change.

wanting to piss Sather off (let's pretend Jagr actually wants to), is one thing, but being willing to go to New Jersey to do so? stretching it, I think.

He and Dubi were great together when they played together. Dubi single handedly rejuvenated Jagr.

EVER!

He already has the Pens and Caps fans loathing. Fairly undeserved imo.

To sign with the Devils would actually give a HUGE fanbase a real reason to dislike the onetime captain of the Rangers.

He left NY on good terms with the fanbase. Hes not signing with the Devils. Ever

Yes, but you said other things that may have lead to one thing or another, like "Didn't gel with anyone on the team", "wanting to piss off sather", "relationship ended". All of those things were false.

For what its worth Jagr come home...Rangers could use him and he'd be pumped up to show he's the hero warrior returning to dominate...

A guy who could probably get ~70-80 points if he started up right now, everyone would love. Some people don't like him for some random reason. He would easily be the best player on the team, and help Zherdev out, and it might help Michal Rozsival's game if he is back. I doubt he will, so the point is moot.

Put it this way , after what happened in omsk don't you think jagr would want to get back to what was important to him as he saw first hand tragedy happens so unexpectantly.

in other words, he showed dubinsky all the ropes, so go back to NYR where you are loved and known and have lots of friends in the locker room or go somewhere like the freakin devils? (where he does have a friendship with weekes but other than that ZERO)

So what is the official NHL rule on waivers from the KHL?

Has he played enough games in Russia that he'd have to clear waivers in the NHL?

Do you think GMs would respect Sather enough to pass knowing Jagr was intent only on the NY Rangers?

Would Lou Lams cockblock Sather just to keep JJ off the Rangers roster? Even if he knew Jagr would never sign?

The Cherepenov incident may have weight. Also, last year he had a pretty serious GF in Irina as well. I have no idea if they are still together but she was reportedly very smitten with living and working in Manhattan.

Sure the $$ is great in Omsk but the older you get, the closer to the end of a career, other things are more important. Happiness is the balanced life.
