More than that man. Mason is our starting goaltender for the next 10 + years and is considered if not the top goalie prospect in the game, one of the top.

He is 5-2-1 with 2 Shutouts and has a shutout so far tonight.

I'm not sure, but I think the Jackets fans think very highly of Mason so he is worht more to them then he would garner in a trade.

i just remember him being a solid prospect a year or so ago i havent been able to watch him play. so he has done well. to gauge his value what player would you say it would take to get him from columbus?? can we subtract the fact that they wouldnt trade him im assuming. what player would it take to make it fair value??

I don't know what are Columbus needs, but Giroux or JVR or at least Parent would have to go the other way. A combination of some players may land him.

Yeah....Jones is certainly not a great centerpiece, but Columbus has also another great goalie prospect (maybe no longer a prospect, but still young) in pascale Leclaire. If we'd give something great, I think that Mason could be available.

Giroux is certainly a great part, but I don't know about Columbus' needs as I said before. I don't want to propose something before knowing what they need, but Parent and Giroux are great prospects and they could be the main parts of a deal.

edit: I'm thinking and I'm realizing that they already have Voracek...I don't know if they need more forward prospects

i think if giroux is going it would have to be jones and not parent so maybe this trade has no chance of working

A PPQB Defenseman, or a very good center, or both.

Then Jones or Carle could be in this as well as Giroux.

weather people admit it or see it players will waive it. I.E. mccabe. so anything is possible but i doubt philly would play that card.

your getting expensive for a young goaltender with limited experience. No way you give up Giroux AND Carle.

You could get an equally good goalie prospect for less, the small amount of NHL experience shouldn't add up the extra value that's going for Mason in these proposals

I'm not proposing anything, I'm just trying to find some players that could go the other way. If Giroux and Carle are traded, I'd certainly ask more than just Mason.

overpayment.

I know Briere is overpaid but if he waived his NMC to go to Columbus he'd be worth more than Mason.

I'd try Giroux and Jones for Mason
