I went with Semin. For me it was between him and Ovechkin. Kovalchuk and Heatley both have great shots, and they are right there with the two others, but I think the Caps duo is just on another level. Kovalchuk and Heatley both have "patented" shots, as in most of their great shots come off one timers on their off-wing. Ovechkin is the most dangerous player coming in across the blueline. He's the only player where you can hear the crowd silence simply by crossing the blueline, everyone knows he's going to take a wrist shot from pretty far out, but it can't be stopped.

Semin can do pretty much all of that, plus other incredible shots that no one else in the league can duplicate.

There are five shot types in hockey.
I'm assuming wrist because those four guys all have lethal wrist shots.

Semin has the best wrist shot in the world.

Kovalchuk has the best all around shot with Ovechkin coming in second.

Semin for Wrister, Kovalchuk for Slapper, Ovechkin if combined with speed going in, Heatley for one timer'.

You could try a poll on here asking who has a better wrist shot Alex Semin or Joe Sakic. Sakic would lose, but you could always give it a shot?
