-- Pete DeBoer says David Booth's shoulder is going to keep him out of Tuesday's game against the Caps, and will probably keep him out at least a week. Kenndal McArdle will be on his way to D.C. here in the coming hours. McArdle was Florida's first round draft pick (20th overall at the post-lockout, Sidney Crosby, Ottawa hotel ballroom draft) in 2005.
McArdle will make his NHL debut tomorrow if all goes to plan. He has three goals and 10 points with the Americans so far this season.
-- No real updates on Cory Stillman nor Nathan Horton. Horton's lacerated ankle could keep him out an extended time because the area of the injury is susceptible to re-open. If that happens, he's out all over again. PDeB says Stillman had a good couple of days, but has been out so long (one game since Nov. 2) there's really no timetable right now.
Me personally, I LOVE Ovechkin, and I think he is great for the league. I just dont want to see him have any type of success against us lol. As for the game not being on, is this another of the Versus nights, because not having this game on sucks! Well, I just hope we give the same effort we have the past few games, and at least be lucky enough to come out with a point. Its not that I am not concerned about catching the Caps, but I want to get into the top half of the conference first.

I agree about Ovy. He's my favorite non-Panther player in the NHL.
Didn't I do a disaster prediction where everyone on the team got injured at some point? I hate it when those things come true...when do they pull out the cardboard Biron?

This better be the last game that is not on TV. This is total ********. LETS GO PANTHERS!!!!
There is only one more Cats game with absolutely no tv coverage, Cats vs. Car on March 23rd. Unfortunately I rely on FSN for games and will be missing 9 games in addition to that one.
Hopefully the wounded Panthers can take advantage of Theodore and pull out a win tonight.

No. Since I "borrowed" some stuff off of Rocks GDT, he "borrowed" the poll of of my GDT. We are all bros here, so its not a problem

Mod disobeying rules? What is this world coming to? I demand that you give yourself points right now...

I didn't mention his whole name, and since Martin Biron is still okay to mention, it's also fine to mention Cardboard Biron...just not the name of the guy whose picture is on the Cardboard
But as for you...playing mod...baaaaadddd....very, very baaad....where's my "ban from ever using a computer again" button?
Are they missing 67% of their top-6 forwards like the Panthers are?
well... Clark, Semin, Fedorov, Green, Poti, Erskine, Schultz (so 2/3rds of their defensemen) are all probably not playing. Gordon and a few others probably are going to give it a go pretty banged up (Alzner was hurt last game, and he was just called up). Between Semin, Fedorov and Green, that's a ton of offense.
While I do think both have significant injuries, I do think the Caps are suffering just as badly.

yeah but you still have one of the top 2 players in the world

Wow - yeah, I guess they are.
How long's Green out? He's on my fantasy team, so wondering if I'll need to replace him.

green has a dreaded "upper body injury". He took a pretty massive check from Pronger on the road trip and has been out since then.
He is pretty close to playing, and is practicing some, but I think they're being patient. He probably should be back by the weekend. But then again, the team has felt some of the injuries could be day to day, and they have taken a few weeks.
And, yeah, I know the Caps still have Ovechkin, Backstrom and a few other good talents, but their down to defenseman #10 or so on the depth chart. They've played very well at home so far, so I expect a similar effort, but I think with a good effort by Florida's forwards it could be a long night for the Caps.

I think it's fair to say that both teams are decimated at the position that had less depth to start. The Panthers were built to sustain an injury or two to the defensemen (hence why we've done alright without Allen and Murphy), but offensively we are pretty weak and that's where all of our injuries are right now.
the Caps had some depth at defense, just most of it is very young and inexperienced.
I don't think many teams could call up players like Lepisto or Alzner just they're beyond those type of players and are into the Bryan Helmer's of the world
