that was maybe the most fun game to watch this year. i stood up during the whole third period through overtime. whoever says four on four isnt a good thing for ot is an idiot. that was the craziest ot ive seen yet. kovy blows a breakaway - then hedican and adams cant score on a two on zero with like 12 seconds left (great save by pasi).....adams gets ANOTHER breakaway to score with 0.5 seconds. the irony being that the one night everyone has better things to do than to be around for this one....this was the best game this of the year, imo. last year was the victory over detroit where weekes got hurt. i dont care how bad the turnovers are, these teams play exciting games - which ill take over a well played game anyday.....especially with THIS team. i had fun watching tonight. bad note - staal walks in on a complete breakaway and loses the puck - no confidence whatsoever. he is at a low point right now, but any game with 3 or 4 breakaways was worth watchin. now im going to go enjoy my friday night - which im sure you all already are.
woody - crossed my fingers for you. you can do it.
that was maybe the most fun game to watch this year.
I agree. Glad I took a few minutes to pop a tape in the machine. I was not surprised that Atl tied it. Sadly, such outcomes not only fail to surprise anymore, but they are actually expected. If I'm not mistaken, SH extra-attacker is a new way to blow a lead for us and we are running out of new ideas.
I've rarely been disappointed with an OT this year, no matter which two teams are playing. Instinctively, I hate the garbage OT loss point (remember the year we missed the play-offs due to OT losses?) as much as much as I hate EN'ers, but it is definitely responsible for some of the best hockey we get to watch.
If you want to be entertained, you probably can't go wrong with TB and Atlanta. I predict many long years ahead for us Caniacs.
Funny you should say that, because I use to watch alot of Tampa and Atlanta earlier in the season. Tampa got boring for a stretch, and I started to hate Bob Hartley sooooo I stopped watching them both. I do watch alot of the Leafs; I'm sorry, they are entertaining to watch. The Molson Leafs Hockey telecasts are the shiznit, and the Leafs play an intense, up-tempo game. I'm suppose to be a Leaf hater....
you're gonna laugh, but i like watching the rangers. its like getting hooked on a melodramatic soap opera - maybe its just left over from getting them on normal cable growing up in ct. rangers definitely have the best tv guys in the league. ottawa can be pretty fun to watch as well....theyve got guys on the third line that can dangle with the puck, people say thats why they wont win - i say its good tv.
