Finally, a game-day thread! The only thing the Bruins need to worry about tonight is slacking off. If they play this game the way they know how, they'll crush the Lightning. If they let up and take this team lightly, they could get smoked. There's still too much offensive talent over there to be complacent. I'm sure Timmy is jazzed to get back in there.

Drury posting the GDT at 7AM?

Someone is sleeping late today!

It's been a long four days. I'm looking forward to this one. I always have liked games against the lighting, as the Bruins tend to have their number.

Awards:
This game has "letdown" written all over it. Very dangerous situation. Coming off a high of the most recent wins, mini vacation, and the Florida sun.

Need to come out fast and hitting right from the opening faceoff.

But I'm psyched to have this be my first game on my new TV.

Sony 52XBR 6.

Has it been 4 days already?

Wonder if Savvy took his golf clubs down there.

I agree with the "letdown" sentiment. Last time I had this feeling it was before the Buffalo game, and we know how that turned out

I think this could be closer than form would have you expect. Although looking at the bet thread, most are going for healthy margins and a B's win.

We can only hope they come out firin! Go B's!

Man!

Mike Smith has a 2.41 GAA and a save % of 0.929 and is still 5-6!

Time for the rest of his team to step up to the plate

ive been going through every game for about a month now expecting a disaster, and so far it really hasnt happened. they lost to buffalo recently, but it was a great game.

this game should definitely go down as a bruins victory, but as everyone so far has mentioned it has the potential to be the first big downer of the season. then again, from now until the time it happens, doesnt every game have potential to be the first downer?

Good to have a game to watch. Seems like forever.

Come out fast-hit Tampa where they live. No reason we shouldn't win

go Bs!

ironically, that could be the reason we don't win. the boys figure, it should be an easy game, we're well rested, comming off of a great month, we're playing the best hockey of our careers. tampa on the other hand has been struggling. we can sit back and let our game run its course. don't forget, tampa has rediculous depth at forward and we have a new kid playing D tonight, that could be a lethal combination. we need to come out and play just like we did against the wings.

i definitely agree with everything you say hear. but, these are professionals were talking about here, and lucky enough to have a great coach. you gotta think that this mentality doesnt come about too often (if at all). it certainly shouldnt anyways.

im just as cautious as you are though

i agree, i don't think claude would allow that kind of thing to happen, though it is still a possibility nonetheless. he seems to have this way of making them think they need to keep fighting, no matter what.

(insert joke about claude not letting lucic fight here)

Gonna be working tonight until 9, hopefully I get out early to catch the last half of the game. Tampa shouldn't be taken lightly given their forward depth, but our forwards should be able to do some work tonight against their D. I don't think the Bruins are the kind of team to take another one lightly, so I expect they'll come out and play how they have all season, if they do, good chance we walk out with a W. Ryder with a goal. B's win 5-2.

Hey. Morris..let the girl sleep in...she deserves it! And I have been up for the last 6 hrs...my kid launched all her dinner all over her room early this morning (2AM) and just stopped the launch sequence about 2 hrs ago. Now she is back to her normal self. I can see a cat nap in both Drury's and my future before the game tonight.

Crunchberries?? I thought it was a peanut butter cereal??

Crunchberries, peanut butter cereal, the fisheeess, Hummmmus, chocolate, tea, beer, Old Time's cookies, and oh....Waltah's nacho's....whats next???

And Kov's I'm having toast with cinnamon, sugar, and ginger on it! And a cup of tea!

Ok, back to the B's!

I hope the suntan lotion doesn't effect them!

Time to rack some more points up to get way far away from the Habs in the standings.

Go B's Go!

LOL....so far this year, it's been a goaltender's year.....kinda like a "pitcher's year" in baseball.......surprising with the new icing rule sending the puck-drop to the other end. But I guess this proves that goalies like to stay focused and active.
