Me too! That was a sick play by Bouw and Frolik!

Even though I would of liked to see a better execution on the 3-on-1, Frolik is AMAZING! He is going to be a great TWO-WAY forward for us, not just an offensive forward.

BTW...Pitt 5, Canes 2 early in the third
Isles 2, Caps 2 in the second

I know people are going to gripe about Horton, but I cant wait to get him, Stillman, and Booth back. Its going to be extra firepower for us, and I really think its going to get even better than it is now!

Frolik is our best forward on the team right now. I feel like he's not going to regress from here; he'll only keep getting better. The more he learns, the more that will stick with hm. He's such an unbelievable player. Before the season I figured that he'd make it over Matthias and that he'd turn into a dangerous player but it'd take him a couple years before he really was a consistent threat. At the moment he's honestly making dangerous plays every shift. He's so fast, great hands, and he is one slick passer. He looks like such a gem right now. I can't seem him NOT becoming a 35 goal, 70+ point scorer in the future. For sure the most promising prospect in a while. With Booth, Horton, and Stillman back, this team might end up being dangerous. Horton hopefully won't bring the team down and will only help but Frolik and he have great skill. I'd say Frolik has possibly more skill than Horton. Weiss also has impressed as he's so steady.

Who was that? I can't remember anyone ever dogging Campbell. He's always been a solid, hard working 4th liner for us. Campbell is playing beyond expectations right now whereas Dvo and Pelts are getting back to what they should have been doing all along.

Dont know if the Zednik special aired yet, but they had a little bit of it on the Sabres broadcast. The doctors said that he was in the final stages of shock and almost bled to death. Everything had to go perfect to save his life, and luckily, they did! Very touching story on what happened behind the scenes!

Hopefully with this team being close the 8th spot Horton will stop having lazy games.

Frolik-Weiss-Booth
Stillman-Horton-Zednik
Pelts-Campbell-Dvorak
McLean-Kreps-Stewart.

Man, can't wait to see everyone back on the ice healthy.

Few weeks ago, I was saying that Frolik was not ready for the NHL and should play in AHL

I guess that's why I'm not an NHL coach or GM

Martin and Deboer knew what they were doing with Frolik

The team is playing well without him anyways. If he can't take his game to the next level, bench him one game, then put him on the 4th line

We have to remember we have this lead right now because of Andy. He's played great, especially in the first.

well, to be fair they get to see him in practice every day and they've probably seen some of this type of play surface there well before we saw it in a game.

I would actually go with:
Booth - Weiss - Frolik
Stillman - Kreps - Horton
Pelts - Campbell - Dvo
Stewart - McLean - Zednik

i'm not surprised to hear this from you but a bit disappointed. frolik isn't the reason this team is playing as well as they are right now. he's a very small part of it. yes, he is probably the most skilled forward we have but the *best* at this point? maybe it's a matter of semantics but to me, it's kinda missing the point to go overboard on frolik right now. it's exciting to see but let's give credit where most of it belongs: the D and grinders.

He wasn't going to call that! He realized that he called the exact same thing earlier.

Regardless, let's get one boys!!!!

Okay, fine, our best forwards as a "unit" has been that line of grinders, the CPR line. They're one of the main reasons along with our defense stepping up that we're doing well. When I said best, I suppose I could have replaced that with "most exciting" to get my point across. He's certainly the most exciting player and he's making plays by himself a lot. That line is looking great as is the CPR line. How is Frolik only a small part of it though? He's been the best player on his line and he's on our first line. Sure the CPR line has been great too, but Frolik being dangerous is allowing more space for Weiss, which IMO has helped him to start moving the puck around. It's only a matter of time before Weiss will consistently be on the scoresheet.

...and also, Frolik, individually, has been the best player on the team in the past few games IMO. Doesn't mean that he's our best overall player. I said that knowing Booth, Horts, and Stillman are out. I would put them all over Frolik in terms of the "better" forward but they aren't playing and weren't included in what I meant. I'm not ready to annoint Frolik as a first line player right now, let alone the top player on our full roster, but he's been playing phenomenal lately just like the grinders, and I can see him becoming a star in the future.
